“Review #883 2025-056 What can you write about Dollar Tree? By now, most have heard of this store that was often compared with 99 Cents Only Store since they, as a discount variety store, have similar pricing strategies & product lineups. With inflation, COVID-19, & other factors, Dollar Tree is no longer a "dollar" store instead its price base is $1.25 + higher prices for certain consumables & name brands. Still, DT offers decent value... then there's the "thrill-of-the-hunt" shopping experience, which I haven't found at this location yet. This location replaced the defunct 99 Cents Only Stores; it looks the same with similar inventory of snacks, food, home goods, health & beauty items, toys, school supplies (gotta love them low cost composition books), party & seasonal supplies, etc. It's fairly organized but not as well-stocked as its predecessor. My 14 YO daughter's swim team does this away meet "gift" (junk) exchange where they create a goody bag filled with their fav snacks & drinks. They're kids so it's obviously junk foods & sodas, except for the handful who treat each meet with consideration of this bag o' treats may hinder their performance. Dollar Tree has most of their (junk food) munchies & drinks available, not that I agree with their choices but these bags supposedly builds camaraderie. I like that it's next to Grocery Outlet so when I can't find snacks here, I can walk next door to finish up. When we adopted a 5-week stray kitten (my cousin was spaying/neutering a feral colony in the neighborhood) a couple of months ago, I found some cat toys (fishing rod, crinkly ketchup & mustard) for Snow's entertainment. The rod didn't fare well, but what can you expect for $1.25? I came back & didn't find any in stock. =( Recently, I've been laid off & stopped by for Halloween goody bags & candies for my son's class. I'm not a fan of these goody bags but it's common practice & I don't want my son to be that kid that didn't participate. I liked 99¢ Store better because they also offered erasers, pencils, sticker packs, etc. so I'm not giving candy only... though I'm partial to Haribo gummies & Smarties. Oh, if you're having a party, this location also sells balloons, they don't have Party City's variety but what they offer works IMO. Come to Dollar Tree for affordable everyday essentials. It's convenient & budget-friendly, particularly if you're feeling the strain of inflation/the economy.”
“Very clean and huge selection of items! Came to buy 3 things but got out with like 10 items. As of now (2025), the price has changed to $2.25 for items that don't have price tags.”
“I like the variety of things they sell. It's as if they were Amazon. They sell bicycle tools, car accessories and some other tools and a bunch of home items and electronics such as tablets. A variety convenience store.”
“Before you had to wait in a long line because cashiers didn't wanna work so they made everyone do self checkout, and now they stopped self checkout, and only have 1 cashier to checkout everyone. Went from bad to worse....”

“I feel like this daiso location has cheaper prices than the other surrounding locations. This store was very clean there was a lot of employees stocking items on the shelf. Also helped that there was self checkout to purchase items, I feel like that made the transaction smoother.”

“The most excellent service in recent memory was provided by furniture department manager, Andrew, at this Big Lots location. He explained the difference between furniture brands, the pros and cons of mattress selection in particular. His advice helped me to see the value and importance in investing in the long term by getting the better quality, (tho more expensive) brands. This was a lesson that my grandfather taught me decades ago, but that had somehow with all these commercials these days had slipped my mind. Bottom line, talk to Andrew when you need furniture.”

“5 below is fun to just walk around and splurge on nick nacks, snacks, some fun little odd finds. (I.e. freeze dried candies, beach toys, sketch pads, etc.) There is a small section in the back of the store that has a few items above $5.00 (Found some cute shelves for the kids to have as nights stands in that section.)”

“Ami is super sweet and helpful! She held it down being the only register open during a rush. The line moved fairly quickly. This location is neater than other locations I've visited. Items were stocked and organized. The store is spacious with wide aisles. Parking is plenty. Prices may vary depending on the item like their frozen foods. There are great finds like Philadelphia cream cheese and Kraft singles are available. There was so much to see and my walk around the store was delightful.”

My son goes to Cantonese school across the street, & one of the moms mentioned there's a cute graphic tee that's perfect for our growing Chinese momentum: You're All That & Dim Sum! The tees section was quite large with lots to choose from. I got the dim sum tee for my 8 YO son, & also saw another tee (born to game forced to work... LMAO) that perfectly describes his latest transgression from studying, though there's not much to study or homework for that matter in elementary school.
There's also toys & games, beauty products, candies & snacks, books, etc. They're similar to other discount stores like Dollar Tree & Daiso, but on the higher price tier with more variety & trend-focused products for the younger set.
Customer service is efficient & friendly. I only waited a few minutes with a handful of people ahead of me. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center based on its location & doesn't compete much for spaces with the anchor stores or restaurants.
Five Below is a great alternative for the bargain shopper! And now that the holidays are here... check 'em out for gift giving ideas.”
