“We stayed here for one night on our visit to Death Valley. Lone Pine is an adorable little town with lots of character and this Best Western Hotel did not disappoint. The view from the front of the property of the Sierra Nevadas / Mt Whitney is striking. We were there in February so we saw snow covered peaks. The motel is a ranch style layout and we loved that each room had a designated parking spot! Room was very large and beds are comfortable. There was a mini fridge and a microwave. They offer complementary cookies upon check in and we found the staff very friendly. The breakfast was ample and included choices for everyone. Options included hot breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage and tater-tots. The other options were choice of three cereals, some pastries, toast, English muffins, yogurt, and even mango fruit for a topping or side. They offered the usual coffee / tea, juice and almond milk as an alternative option. If you bring your furry friend they have a nice big area at the back of the property that is fenced and overlooks the Inyo Mountain Range. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Note if you do visit Lone Pine be sure to check out the Alabama Hills. They are minutes from this property and well worth the time.

“Inn was perfectly located for our before and after on our Whitney climb.
Rooms were great and reasonably priced.
Owner was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and very helpful/accommodating to our needs.”

“Correct motel, with reasonable price. The owners are very friendly and eager to please. It shows that they are making improvements little by little. The rooms have new mattresses and are freshly painted. The bathroom needs some improvement, it already looks old.
Rooms: Correct room, recently painted and with new mattresses. The shutters are also new. The bathroom needs some improvement.”

“Budget motel. Clean rooms, excellent customer service.
Noisy party neighbors, which is what brought the overall down to 4 star. Not sure what management could do anything about it.
We would stay again if I the area.”
“Had some bugs on the ceilings, dusty floors, and A/C in room assigned wasn't working.
They fortunately moved us to a room with working A/C. When original room's A/C situation was repaired, they moved us back and moved all of our stuff gently from the room they put us in with working A/C.
Great location for Whitney hike if you are in town. Walking distance to some small places to eat.”
“We booked at Histpric Dow - and got “historic”! It was ok for one night - as travelers we are missing a small coffee machine, for example, if there is no breakfast in the house. The location is great...out of Death Valley - and take a break!!!
Rooms: Everything here was simply “outdated” - but clean and functional!
Walkability: On the main street - in front of the door - there is everything you need to survive! McDonald's, a Baker... Casino ?”
