“i've been traveling to independence, California for the last year on business and this Best Western is best available option in area. The property is clean and safe and they have a great hot breakfast every morning.
The front staff is extremely nice and helpful and I have a number of packages delivered to Hotel.
Today I worked with Dylan regarding a number of overlapping reservations for my staff, and he helped me get everything sorted out so my staff could check in even in my absence. A very accommodatiing young man. Well done.”
“Me and my friends went for Mt Whitney hike and stayed in Lone Pine. Hotel has 2 queen size beds, decent size rooms, they are clean. And good price compared to other options. There is a super market in walking distance from it. And a taco truck. Parking is right outside the room.”

“Stayed here for a trip to climb Whitney and other mountains. Good value, 20 minutes from Whitney Portal. Easy walking distance to all Lone Pine restaurants. Quiet clean room. Was pleasantly surprised how big the room was. For the price it’s tough to beat. Would stay again if I’m ever in Lone Pine.”
“Best price for a decent room if you just need to wash up and sleep after camping or hiking one of the 14ers. Room was a little warm and muggy despite it being 60 outdoors. Staff is nice, needed to go pick up extra towels from downstairs which was no problem. Bathroom is clean. Room has a fridge and microwave.”

“Spent two night in November 2025 and enjoyed our visit. The weather was rough while we were there, so our outdoor activates were hampered by the weather, but the hotel was nice and I can see how it is a great location if you are exploring the eastern Sierra. The hotel is right on the main road and there are plenty of dining establishments a quick walk from the hotel. Parking is ample and the view, had it not been so cloudy and rainy, would have been great. I can imagine it would get busy during the peak tourist season, but town was quiet and not overrun during our trip. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a basecamp for some Alabama Hills exploring.”
