Timberline Motel is a clean, quiet, and correct motel with reasonable and cheap rates. The rooms are a good size, very comfortable, and well furnished with new mattresses, clean sheets, and fresh paint. The owners and staff are very friendly, kind, helpful, and eager to please. The location is off the highway, quiet, and within walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, and everything nearby. It is a perfect retreat and a gem, though the bathroom needs some improvement. The management is making improvements little by little.
The management was really kind and hospitable. When we asked for ice, they delivered it right to our room. The rooms were well furnished with nice clean sheets and a perfect retreat after finishing the John Muir Trail. We highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area. Some of the cheapest rates in town or nearby.
