Bel Canto Books Retro Row is a beautiful, cute, and welcoming independent bookstore on 4th Street, considered a community staple and the best bookstore in Long Beach. It offers a curated and good selection of fiction, nonfiction, and children's books, organized around a theme of the month and shelved by identity and genre, in particular celebrating books by women, people of color, and AAPI authors. The shop also has very cute bookish merchandise and book-related goodies. The owner hosts great book clubs, author events, and more, providing great customer service.

The best bookstore in Long Beach!! The owner does such an amazing job selecting books and hosts great book clubs. Plus the book related goodies she has are always on point and great for presents.
