Page Against The Machine is a fantastic and lovely little bookshop in Long Beach. It is a well-curated revolutionary bookstore with a great selection of new and used books, zines, and local literature. The selection focuses on socially aware themes, reflecting contemporary leftist and radical struggles, including LGBT rights, reproductive rights, social justice, and bike culture. It also offers counterculture art books, prints, stickers, and pins. The owner is very friendly, knowledgeable, kind, and an ally, offering great chats with customers. The shop provides comfy chairs for reading and hosts a monthly poetry reading series. It is a great place to find specific books for programs and to support. Customers plan to go back every chance they get, commuting to visit and soak it in. The shop is closed on Mondays.

Fab bookstore with new and used titles for kids and adults. The owner is awesome and if there’s something you’re looking for that he doesn’t have, he’s super helpful in ordering it and even takes title suggestions to stock in the shop. Great community oriented place to support!
