“We went to this church while visiting Long Beach during a medical conference. Our family enjoyed the service but the best part was hearing an amazing sermon. People were welcoming and engaged. It was the best part of our trip.”

“5 Eleven Sports Basketball camp is usually based at this gym. We attended in 2024 and 2025 for the holiday break. Our kids had a blast! Thanks to all the people involved.”
“Did some thrifting in the Long Beach area and this was one of the stores we visited. Our teenager loved this store. He found some cool clothing items that we got for him. Lots of cool items to meet your thrifting needs. Store was presented as clean and all the staff present were very friendly. Would return when we are in the area!”
“So many cool exhibits. I've never seen so many starfish and jellyfish before. The kids were so excited to see all the sea life. They have a rain forest exhibit with those cool poison dart frogs. Multiple touch pools. We all enjoyed and it was well worth it. Parking is right there and I paid $12 for 3 hours. Many restaurants nearby. The whole thing was dope.”
“Food bank at Salvation Army is the best I've ever been to. If you've been there before it is no longer the same it's changed the whole system up it opens now at 1:00 the staff is amazing will definitely help you with anything you need but be patient you are not the only one in the world that needs food”
“HEAP is a blessing from heaven! I desperately needed help with electricity bill and it was as if they wrapped their arms around me and took care of me. They were my knight in shining armor no doubt. And the representatives of this company was just as spectacular as the effort that they did for me. Jennifer was my contact person. Literally she saved the day for me she was excellent very professional and very understanding I've never met her but one day I hope to and I will shake your hand until the cows come home saying thank you with gratitude!!”
“I believe the Long Brach Area Council provided my son, who is an Eagle Scout with organized programs & activities that were fun & safe, reinforced our family values, & he learned life skills that continues to help him succeed in life as an adult.”
“The ladies who volunteer at this place are so kind. You can get a free school uniform for kids with a family who are struggling financially. They have other programs so look them up or stop by.”
“Like an upscale boutique. High quality merchandise. Clothing like new. Vintage best quality full wood furniture and other quality antiques. A lot of books and DVDs too.”
“Wonderful professional theatre right here in Long Beach! Not a bad seat in the house. Always interesting and thought-provoking plays! I highly recommend. I am a subscriber so I don't miss a play!”

“A welcoming and well-organized Masonic lodge serving the Long Beach community.
The lodge maintains a traditional meeting environment that reflects the historic structure and symbolism associated with Freemasonry. The lodge room is well maintained and provides an appropriate setting for meetings and degree work.
Members are friendly and committed to fellowship, education, and community service. The lodge hosts regular meetings and activities that strengthen the sense of brotherhood within the organization.
Overall, International City Masonic Lodge represents a strong example of an active and supportive Masonic lodge.”

“Just sold the home they saved from foreclosure about 10 years ago. They restructured the mortgage so that there was no longer interest added each month, and a smaller amount was deferred. Thus, we were able to keep more of the sale proceeds because the remaining mortgage was low. What they did back then was a miracle, and we reaped the benefits of that miracle this month.
Thank you HPP Cares! Shout out to Katherine Peoples

“An environmental research institution with a focus on ocean microplastic pollution with its own zero waste shop called BYO Long Beach. Fun fact: Plastic pollution is the biggest continuous form of solid oil spill and gas leak! There is no place on earth including the deepest ocean trenches, the atmosphere, and even space and that aren't touched by plastics. Therefore, plastic production, consumption, disposal are a cause of climate change and various other problems that affect all earthlings, though unequally due to environmental injustice and speciesism, including microbial life and potentially aliens because of the space junk we left in space, on the Moon, and on other planets, in our quest to colonize our solar system. Another fun fact: NASA astronauts left their gut microbiome (poop) in plastic bags on the Moon and in space so those microscopic critters are technically aliens if they've evolved. In theory, this could mean our common ancestor was dumped here on Earth by highly advanced alien astronauts who didn't completely sanitize their stuff or those microbes could've hitched a ride on space rocks that crash landed on Earth. In fact, there could be microbes on Mars right now if we look close enough. I'm gonna stop at that before this review turns into an episode of Ancient Aliens.”
“Look ? iont know who in that kitchen, but shelter food is not supposed to taste this good & flavorful ?? Maybe it’s a ‘West Coast thing’ that people cook so well, but whoever is back there seasoning & cooking the food (don’t ever stop volunteering, respectfully ???) You know you can cook when your veggies are on point ? That’s the first thing I eat ‼️ Amazing people. Amazing worship. Tasteful, phenomenal, flavorful meals ? & the staff/volunteers/workers are respectful& I TRULY feel the spirit whenever we’re in time of worship before meals(been meaning to ask them to pray with me. I will soon ?? got too. We all know when two or three are gathered… ?… (finish the verse. ?? ?) -Bless everyone there, Including their friends, families as well as their enemies. Much love to ‘Long Reach Rescue mission’ ???Whenever I get back on my feet, this will be the first place I signed up to volunteer, donate goods, foods& clothing, and hopefully start up an organization to partnership with Long Beach rescue ministries to also help with homelessness ?? - Respect to them ❣️”

“The veterinary staff was empathetic and professional throughout the most difficult decisions. Thank you to the entire staff. It's not an easy profession. ??”
“The church building is so magnificent, beautiful like a cathedral. Reverend Dan gives such a heartful sermon through his knowledge of the WORD, his personal experiences and a bit of humor ? The music ?, the pianist playing is so beautiful. Thank you Rev Dan for always welcoming me so kindly when I come. God be with you all. Amen ?”
“I was introduced to His Nesting Place last year. When I heard and saw all they do for pregnant moms in need, I immediately was relieved. There are the only Christian based maternity that does what they do.I have met moms in dire situations. The policies and guidelines lines are not extreme. The maternity home just celebrated 40 years and they could only have gotten by God’s and the leadership there.I am proud to volunteer at His Nesting Place and I am proud to refer moms in need to His Nesting Place.”
“We truly love this place. As a new troop leader things can be confusing at times. Java the lady who works there has helped me in so many ways and made the process of being a new leader so much smoother. She is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond each time we visit. We can call ahead and pay over the phone and she has everything waiting for us. When we are there in the shop she is friendly and attentive and helpful, my daughter Olivia asks to visit all the time!! They have everything you need in the shop from uniforms to badges to fun patches to curriculums, and more. As well, they have so many cute extras. Jewelry cute clothing, etc etc. please go visit!!! You will not be disappointed.”
“This place has everything including parking right in front. They’re big guns, sofas, beds, smart TVs, wedding dresses and gowns, wheel, leather goods, fur, home goods, clothing and accessories for him and her. Spacious, not crowded on a weekday afternoon, and filled with goods.”
“I started coming to LBM in 2022 after I moved to the area. I’ve been practicing meditation for 10+ years. The teachers at LBM are unlike any I’ve ever met. They teach with great compassion and love. The wisdom and insight they possess is truly inspiring and transformative.
Long Beach meditation is a place for both new meditator’s as well as longtime practitioners.
Additionally, the teachers and members of this organization have become like a family to me. Everyone is so warm and welcoming.
So grateful for this community!”
