Courtyard Long Beach Downtown offers a convenient location in downtown Long Beach, close to many restaurants and the beach, making it suitable for travelers seeking easy access to local attractions. The hotel features friendly and helpful staff, with some reviews highlighting exceptional customer service, especially from staff members who go out of their way to improve guests' experiences. The lobby is described as nice, and the rooms are generally considered comfortable, making it a decent choice for short stays or quick visits. However, the hotel has some notable drawbacks. The building is older and in need of upgrades, with issues like poor room ventilation and unpleasant odors—such as sewage smells from the bathroom and smells of nearby steakhouse cooking. The floors are thin, allowing guests to hear noise from the rooms above. Parking is a major concern, as it is expensive, limited in space, and often difficult to find, with some guests experiencing cars being blocked in. Additionally, some rooms have unusual features, like walkways in front of windows, which may impact privacy. Despite these issues, the hotel offers a reasonable price, and there are nearby options like free street parking at night. The attached restaurant and virtual reality golf room add to the amenities, though overall, some guests feel the hotel could benefit from renovations and improvements. It remains a practical choice for travelers seeking a basic, affordable stay in Long Beach, especially for short visits or those attending cruises.
Good location in dwtn long Beach. Room needs better ventilation, bathroom toilet smells like sewage and room smells like steak house cooking next door. Thin floor as we could hear ppl walking on the floor above us. Restaurant is nice and front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.
