“This was an amazing fun time after growing up in Southern California and always driving past but never going in. Everyone we met working on the ship was friendly and even eager to show you hidden gems and reccomendations to make our visit even better. Extra bonus were locals dressed in period cocktail suits and gowns.Walkability: The ship itself is walkable but you will need a car to go anywhere elseNoteworthy details: It is historic so dont expect high tech extras like phone chargers.”

“3/23/24 - 3/26/24 Loved the hotel and location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a very nice size for two people, with a sitting area. Huge walk-in shower and oversized bathroom with double sinks.The Watercraft Market Lounge was very comfortable, and the food was decent and reasonably priced. The lobby has plenty of sitting areas to sit and enjoy the music, or just people watch. The rooftop and swimming area is really nice with an awesome view.Rooms: Loved I! Plenty of room for two people and sitting for guests.Nearby activities: The Pike Shopping, Movie Theater, Comedy, Aquarium, The Shoreline Village, Bubba Gumps etc,.Safety: Elevator requires your room key to access floors. Walking the Shopping center and nearby store's and restaurants was safe.Walkability: You can walk to the shopping in less than five minutes.Food & drinks: Plenty of choices in Watercraft or pick a nearby restaurant.”

“What an amazing hotel right in the center of restaurants, shopping centers and entertainment! It's right next to Pikes Outlet (shopping center) and right across from a shopping center in the Pier. When we first arrived, the woman at the front desk was very kind, smiled, and showed great customer service. That's hard to find in Long Beach. I recommend renting the swan paddle boats. It's great for two adults and up to 3 kids. We had the best time ever. Plus, when you're at the hotel, you can just text customer service and they respond immediately. Made life easy and fun.”

“I would definitely recommend this place. Beautiful B&B! The owners are very kind hearted people. I felt like I was at home. Breakfast was amazing. Just be up on time to make sure you have a wonderful meal. I was very welcomed to be staying inside the B&B. I'm not really sure why there is so many bad reviews, and pictures. “Booked in March 2023 for a December cruise. December cruise got canceled and had to reschedule to a different date in February 2024. Room price didn't get applied to new date and new date room rate was twice the amount. So I basically had to pay twice for one booking which was very frustrating. Aside from that, the room was nice and it was within walking distance to the cruise port.”

“this hampton inn came to our rescue after an absolutely nightmarish situation!! we checked into a nearby motel and saw no less than 4 roaches within 15 minutes of entering our dingy room that reeked of cigarette smoke. we booked it out of there and immediately started searching for nearby accommodation, and off the quick search, we found that this hampton inn had the best rates for the night and figured it'd be lightyears better than what we just went through. we called, and got redirected to what i assume was hampton inn's call center who, while a bit unclear with some things, secured us a reservation and we drove straight over. upon arrival, we were greeted by two ladies, von (vaughn? not sure of spelling) and katrina. we let them know of our situation and they were very sympathetic. katrina pulled up our reservation and warned that they might not have rooms left, but had two leads on possible open rooms (wish the call center guy had let us know this as well but what can you do). as she went and checked for an available room, von chatted with us and lifted my 6 year old niece's spirits, even going as far as gifting her a hawaiian airlines snack pouch. within 10 minutes of driving up, katrina and von had us fully checked into a room off of an extremely last minute and unlikely reservation. the room was everything we'd hoped for; sleek, bright, and so pristine my niece kicked off her shoes and excitedly dove into bed to kick around under the sheets giggling only minutes after she proclaimed she "unlocked a new fear and trauma: roaches in my hotel bed!!". we all slept soundly knowing we were well taken care of and in a clean room. we loved it so much we wanted to stay another night! none of us have ever been more grateful for a clean room, and it wouldn't have been possible (+ our moods would not have turned around) if it wasn't for von and katrina. thank you so so much ladies for being our saving grace in a horror story we'll be telling for years to come!”

“Booked this hotel last minute and I'm glad I did. I needed a quick getaway from the LA area and on a whim.... decided to book a 2 night stay. I checked in somewhat late and was greeted by Daniela. She was amazing! She was very patient, informative, and knowledgeable of the area. She gave me great recommendations on restaurants and bars in the area and also recommend things to do during my brief stay (aerial tramway was dope). Traveling alone sometimes can be a little nerve wrecking, so being greeted with good positive energy really set the tone. Thank you Daniela .The room I stayed in was cool. The partition by the sink came off a couple times, but I just popped it back in. The sink water wasn't the clearest either and the water took forever to drain. Other than that... no major complaints lol. The jacuzzi in the room was very spacious and relaxing!I was too busy being a tourist that I didn't get a chance reap the benefits of the pool, but it looked like a lot of fun. The location was great too. I was able to walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops throughout downtown. I'd definitely be back here. Stay classy Palm Springs”

“Excellent service. Located downtown Long Beach. There’s plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Room is clean, it has a spacious desk area. Aveda products are offered. The bath towels and etc look like they’re brand new! The Metro station is right around the corner. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a large variety of foods and an omelet making station. Maria was extremely helpful! Rooftop pool is only on top of the 3rd floor, not actually on the rooftop like it was advertised. Head on down to the pool for a great time!! We were only there one night. So we didn’t have a lot of time to check everything out!!Nearby activities: Walk down to the pier or go shopping in the mall that is very close byWalkability: Plenty of shopping and restaurants easily within walking tests.”

“The Long Beach Marriott was my home away from home for multiple years when traveling for work and always had a wonderful stay and experience. I have to shout out Carolina at the front desk who always went above and beyond to make sure I was receiving the best care and nothing short of an excellent stay. Rooms are exceptionally comfortable with stylish finishing touches and very well insulated to maintain a quiet and restful environment, and the amenities are top notch. The staff from the front desk, housekeeping, M-Lounge, baristas, management, and valets are always friendly and welcoming. Thank you for maintaining such a high standard of customer experience over several years of stays. I often refer others to stay at this location during their travels to the area.”

We would have never picked this hotel based on the exterior - it looks rather dated - yet wow with the inside! The photos posted on Google and Expedia are SPOT on. For a Saturday night, this part of Long Beach was very safe and quiet.Google search lead us to booking this hotel for one night while traveling through Long Beach.Booked the same day (Saturday) through Expedia for a total of $219.72 (price includes all fees and taxes)We’re definitely staying here next time!Let me know if you find this review helpful?”

“My friend and I LOVED this hotel. It is about 100 year old and reclaimed building outfitted yet industrial/homey style. The outside is totally art deco and made me think of a 1930's black and white movie. Decorated in Soothing colors, nice art work and comfortable furniture, it was all very inviting.The staff was so nice and extremely helpful. We stayed in one of their loft apartment apartments which was just beautiful-stylish spotless and spacious. Its functional kitchen was replete with full sized appliances and even a dishwasher. They provide dishes, glasses, cups, silver ware, pots pans, cooking utensils, knives etc. We walked a few blocks to a huge Spanish grocery store, loaded up on food and were able to eat in pretty much to save money. But the neighborhood offers many good restaurant choices and a number of nice places to visit and tour within walking distance. The hotel is bright and sunny with windows all around. The loft had a roomy living room and large dining area with glass topped table. The beds were soooo comfortable-two queen sized in the loft. The bathroom was a little bit not 5 stars since the shower in the master tub was hard to figure out and the tub was interesting to climb into. There was no sample soap in the bathroom sink but the shower had liquid bodywash and soap dispenser on the wall. There were plenty of towels but no dish rag LOL. There were two 55 inch tvs on the wall using the ROKU platform for streaming and live tv. Free wifi was fast and most helpful. We got a great price through Expedia. Yes the loft was up a flight of steps from the street entrance locked with a code. The lobby is quirky and cute with exposed brick wallls and cozy seating and in the back is a big hospitality room with plenty of KUERIG coffee cups and the kUerig coffee maker(also in the loft). Delicious !”

“Came to Los Angeles for a couple of concerts over the weekend. We decided to stay in Long Beach. The Beach Inn Motel is located walking distance from everywhere! 5 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and bars all around. Parking is easy and free and the rooms are modern and very comfy. Our room featured a microwave and fridge and it was really clean. Check in was a breeze. Highly recommend!”

“Perhaps one of the best motels in that area in long Beach with its unique and elegant design the court-yard glows at night creating a vibrant and attractive atmosphire. Shops are near mostly walking distance. With all units facing the court-yard with no steps or curb in or around the rooms it's very convenient to get around with a wheelchair. Rooms are larger then avrage, spacious and very well-maintained, fresh and comfortable, well decorated, walk-in-shower, pet freindly. Good value for your money.My first choice in that area. Highly recomanded.”

“Ok so we have stayed in a lot of motels and hotels and the lady’s that were running this place on Christmas Eve deserve this review. They treated us like we were home on winter vacation from collage not complete strangers that were staying a night. We thought the rooms had fridges so they got a bag of ice and a cooler for us. Just the tip of the ice burg. On top of the treatment like we were at the Hilton the rooms are newly redone very tastefully. Somebody put some money into it and it shows I can tell you by the neighborhood that that place did not always look like that m. So whoever did it well done. Again to the staff this is the couple you help out thanks and happy new year.”

“You can't beat this place for the price. Most rooms, which there are many, along PCH are run down, small and dirty. This place feels safer than most and is the only one I know of to offer hot breakfast. Nothing like free waffles after a night of debauchery in the LBC.Rooms: The nicest rooms to be found on PCH. The area is riddled with expensive, run down motels. Spacious, clean and well maintained bathrooms. A real welcome experience in an area where you never know what to expect other than dissatisfaction.”

“Great location. Close to freeways, a block away from gas stations, Starbucks, etc. But the rooms... Awesome layouts. I really liked this Residence Inn by Marriott, in Long Beach. And I have stayed at several. Justin was welcoming and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Excellent service. Breakfast is also included.”

“I cannot thank you enough. We had an extremely stressful day... 12 hour drive from Southern Oregon to handle a family emergency.. then we got the run around from 2 other motels.. we were tired, we were hungry and we were beyond stressed at that point. I found the Ruby Motel online, excellent reviews, the rooms looked nice, great location and the price was in our budget. We pulled up and for the first time on this trip were smiling. This pictures don't do it justice. We were promptly checked in by the sweetest woman. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We were worried about our vehicle getting broken into, she assured us it would be safe and put us in a room that had a direct line of sight of the car to ease our minds even more. The room was very clean, bed was so comfortable and the location is EXCELLENT. We booked the room 5 minutes before we arrived, last minute booking cost us $102 and they required a $20 cash deposit that would be returned at check out. We only had $23 in CASH on us.. she immediately tried hand it back to us.. She was going to wave the required cash deposit for us because she was worried that was all the money we had left. We told her we had money on our cards for dinner and not to worry. We cannot thank you enough for being the light on an otherwise dark day. This place was awesome, the people that run the Ruby Motel are some of the nices people I have ever met.
