Renaissance Terrace Apartments offers a secure living environment with gated entry and keycard access, along with gated garage parking. Each unit features a balcony and ample storage space, and the complex provides amenities such as a small gym, laundry rooms on each floor, and a billiards room, weights room, and cardio room with AC. Maintenance is responsive and quick, especially for emergencies, and groundskeeping is maintained by a friendly staff member. Resident communication is facilitated through an easy-to-use app for rent payments and maintenance requests, and monthly newsletters keep residents informed. However, the apartments face several drawbacks. The surrounding street is very noisy, with frequent disturbances from homeless individuals and occasional strange noises outside. Parking can be challenging after 10 pm, as street parking is limited, and the alleyway parking spots can be sketchy, with incidents of break-ins despite security cameras. Rent is considered high relative to the amenities offered, and lease renewals often involve significant rent increases, which frustrates residents. Pest control services are available but are ineffective against bugs, which tend to appear in the summer, especially in hallways and apartments. The laundry units are expensive and prone to breakdowns, often overflowing and requiring manual removal of laundry. Management communication has become inconsistent, with frequent staff changes leading to delays and difficulty reaching the office. Overall, Renaissance Terrace Apartments is a well-maintained complex with friendly staff and convenient amenities, suitable for those prioritizing gated security and parking. Yet, potential residents should consider the noisy street, parking challenges, and higher rent costs when deciding if it’s the right place to live.
Very quiet and clean. Very professional, friendly, efficient and understanding management. Free assigned parking. Walking distance to market and restaurants. I’m very satisfied! My renewal went up $25 and I’m definitely renewing for another year!

1989-90, I lived on the third floor, just above the entryway. I think we paid $550 at that time. Ex was stationed at the Long Beach Navy Station.
