“I was in the process of relocating to the DTLA area and finding a new box to join that reminded me of home seemed almost impossible. Luckily I came across Muse! The programming is challenging and I appreciate how it’s done with a long-term perspective. Every day the workout brings on something different but seems to build on lifts that we do the week before. Not only is there a phenomenal workout program but several activities to bring gym members together such as holiday toy drives and potlucks. “I’m finishing up a two week trial of Hype and I love it! They truly are positive and welcoming! I have ADHD and sometimes with the music, lights, microphone and multiple instructions for HiiT I have trouble memorizing the circuit exercises and Kate has been amazing coming over to remind me and support- not the experience I’ve had at other gyms (cough, ahem Golds Gym). Definitely going to buy a pack of more classes!”

“Awesome clean facility located near Hollywood! They also have free secured parking, which is hard to find in the area.This place has infrared sauna, personal training, chiropractors, massage therapist, and many other modalities. You really don’t need to go anywhere else to upgrade your health!”

“Sanctuary Fitness embodies everything you'd want in a new group HIIT gym you're trying out: welcoming, high energy, organized, and clean. The second I walked in for the very first time, I just knew that they love every single one of their customers, old or new - the front desk employee was super sweet in giving me a quick tour of the gym before I got started to familiarize myself. Once the previous class was over, she happily introduced me to the instructor for my class who gave me the rundown of how the class will work. The set up is super similar to most HIIT classes if you've taken one before: 4 sections with 2-3 different workouts that you'll complete in a certain amount of time then rotate to complete them all in 45 minutes. Every day are different focuses and I came on an arm/ab focused day. It was overall super fun, do-able for anyone (fitness background or not) & Adlai was an energetic + motivating instructor!! Highly recommend - however, DO come early for your class because metered parking can be super tough in the area especially in the morning!! I got super lucky in finding 1 quick for my 8 am class at 7:40.”

“I used to be a weenie. Could only last 3 minutes in the mosh pit of a punk show. Then I found Hollywood Functional Fitness. Under the tutelage of Andy and his awesome coaches, I put on 10 pounds and gained the endurance to drink a gallon of beer and last an entire hour and a half of a Streetlight Manifesto show and became the champion of the mosh pit. I could take the hits and body slams that came my way. Come in and sign up, you will be a better and more solid version of yourself. A solid 5 out of 7 stars.”

“Personally, ZG is home. I've been with them since they opened. Know coach George for almost 6 or 7 years. Along with Coach Dori, they have a strong team that helps to achieve our goals. After two years Finally completing the 504 three week challenge again. I have improved mentally and physically. Every day is a struggle, but always keep going forward. “This place really packs a punch for how compact it is. I've been coming every week for JACKSON, my absolute fav who is so entertaining.I've been taking the Spindigo class (SPIN + weights) at 7 AM and it's challenging and very rewarding.Jackson finds time to correct our form and check in on us while also vogueing and dancing in the front of the class. His music taste is impeccable and he plays high tempo remixes of our favorite songs (he even plays mostly songs sung by women which I adore). Booking it out every week thru ClassPass thank u.Parking is pretty good, the lot or the streets are usually open”

“I’ve been training with Coach Karl at Movement Society for the last 3-4 months and have had a great experience. I came to Movement Society as a mid-30s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / MMA hobbyist looking to increase my athleticism and decrease my chances for injury. Coach Karl asked thoughtful questions and carefully analyzed my needs. He helped me realize my full body motions were strong, but my hips were tight and my single leg stability was compromised. He designed a program to address these issues. Since then, I’ve continuously noticed how much stronger I am in positions I previously struggled with. My grappling strength has improved quite a bit; and I’m able to keep up with other practitioners who are significantly younger and more spry than myself.During this time, I also pulled my back doing Jiu Jitsu and saw Dr Tony Dang for several sessions — he put me back together quickly and I was able to start training again within a month.I’d highly recommend Movement Society for personal training and PT, and I see myself coming here for a long time.”

“I’ve been coming to 9round for about 2 months now. I decided to start looking for some sort of fitness due to weight gain. I choose not to go to a gym since honestly I’m not sure how to get started! I tried out other places like cross fit/cycling trials but didn’t really like it. When I came to 9round I immediately liked everything! From my first session to the trainers! The trainers are all so friendly and nice. They tell you how to do the stations and tell you how to correct it if you’re doing it wrong. Another thing is how efficient they are at getting the next station ready for you! They clean up the station for you so it’s ready for us. Ever since my 2 months here at 9round I lost about 15 pounds! My cloths fit better, and old cloths that use to be tight fit nice! My friends and even barber noticed a difference! :)”

“I truly enjoy rev cycle's non-cycling classes and the facilities are newer. My least favorite aspect about Rev is that the single-occupancy restroom is often understocked--no hand soap etc. Despite this, easy access to the location and parking always available in the side streets.”

“It’s your basic circuit training workout. I would recommend it at least try it for a bit. See if it’s for you they put a heart rate monitor on you and you have to keep your heart rate in the orange level for 12 minutes. That way you can’t cheat yourself by going slower you’ll always know that you’re always pushing yourself so that you have a good workout you do rowing weight training and running”

“If you are interested in learning capoeira from some of the smartest, kindest, fiercest folks around, come to this gym. All the teachers and students are just great people. Capoeira is a fantastic workout as well as a way to grow as a person. This is a great community that supports each other and has lots of fun! There are also other great fitness and martial arts classes at the gym. I recommend it very highly.”

In just 2 sessions with Josh here I can already tell how much better I am going to feel soon. Josh took actual time to find out and diagnose the injuries and knows so much on how to treat it. Amazing facility and make sure to ask for Josh. He is great”

“I love Super Slow! Carrie is AMAZING. She is such a great trainer. She is super knowledgable, professional, and also just a really kind, beautiful person. And she gives you the best workout, and in only 30 minutes! I have never been so toned. I used to do Orange Theory regularly, but I am in better shape now after seeing Carrie. I highly recommend Super Slow! As a busy person who cares about fitness, I’m so happy to have the opportunity to train with Carrie at Super Slow! As for the methodology, it was new to me, but boy, does it work!”

“So grateful for this location, coming from someone who commutes from DTLA. The facility is clean and spacious, staff is warm/friendly, and there are solid class/schedule options. Parking is a breeze, plentiful and free (for 90 min) in the Eastown garage. They are careful to stack class times on days there are shows at the Pantages to avoid any sort of clusterfuck situation with the lot. Finally, showers are well-kept and one of few locations now that still has all Oribe products (vs. some others where I've seen they swapped out the body wash with Barry's brand. Love it.”
