Just a bit slower service for popcorn and hotdogs but they will improve their service I believe, it's just about making things faster.

Very excited about this renovated theater. A true piece of Hollywood history, it was home to the first real movie premiere in 1922, now refurbished for the modern age. You can view current/new Netflix movies as well as classic films programmed by the American Cinematheque. Absolutely worth a visit; a unique Los Angeles... read full comment

The only con for this theatre is the popcorn. It’s not up to the quality of Grauman’s Chinese. But otherwise, 5 stars across the board! A beautifully restored historic theatre! Every seat is a good seat and comfortable.A magical place to watch a film.
The American Cinematheque, a non-profit cultural organization owns and operates the Egyptian Theatre, programming all kinds of cinema experiences, from the classics of American and International Cinema, to new documentaries, independent films, shorts and much more. Premieres of new films from around the world, (as well as our retrospective screenings) often feature in person discussions with the filmmakers and actors. Pop culture gems and cult cinema are also a staple of the programming. The theatre, originally opened in 1922 by Sid Grauman, was purchased by the American Cinematheque in 1996 and re-opened on Dec. 4,1998 after a complete restoration, rehabilitation and adaptive re-use. The theater is a Los Angeles landmark.
