Thien Hau Temple is a beautiful and tranquil Taoist temple in Los Angeles Chinatown, dedicated to Mazu and other deities. It is a popular site for worship and tourism, described as a lovely, serene sanctuary that offers a peaceful break. The temple is absolutely beautiful and very impressive, welcoming to visitors who do not feel like outsiders. People taking care of the place are friendly. The architecture is gorgeous inside and out, with ornate details and a strong smell of incense. It provides a short walk from the Chinatown west gate and features marvelous infrastructure, including a restroom and wheelchair access with ramps. The temple has incense for the public and candles for purchase. It is a mesmerizing sanctuary that blends history and culture, offering a serene escape and a journey of cultural appreciation for all visitors.
Last Thursday was my first time visiting the temple when we tried to order carryout from Hop Li Restaurant. First impression was great and peaceful We will go there again next time when we go to Chinatown.

Interesting place. It’s worth visiting once just to see one of the notable spots in Chinatown. If you are not a follower of this religion, it’s more of a place to look around than somewhere you would come to pray.

Came here for Chinese New Year! Parking was probably the worst part about it but it's the holiday it's expected. Just pay for a spot and you don't have to think about it. Beautiful temple. Just crowded enough to make it very enjoyable.
