I had a very mixed experience at Ulta. I had an appointment scheduled for makeup while I was in town for a wedding. My flight was running late, so I called to let the store know I would be about 15 minutes behind. I understood that most salons allow a 15-minute grace period, but when I spoke with an employee named Artie, he was extremely rude. He told me I might not be seen since Christina, the makeup artist, had a busy schedule. His tone and words left me unsure if I should even come in, stating the Christina will give me a call to let me know if she can still do my make up. At that point I felt very stressed and worried that I wouldn’t have makeup for the wedding.
Thankfully, I decided to still show up—and I am so glad I did. Christina greeted me with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. She reassured me, listened to what I wanted, and delivered beautiful makeup with more than enough time. She completely turned my experience around and made me feel confident and cared for. I absolutely loved my makeup.
I am still disappointed with how Artie spoke to me on the phone. His approach was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and did not reflect the welcoming service I later received. If it hadn’t been for Christina, I honestly would not have gone through with the appointment.
Overall, I was very happy with Christina’s work and would highly recommend her. I only hope Ulta addresses the way Artie communicates with customers, especially those traveling from out of town who rely on their appointments being honored.

sephora will always top this store. their return policy is inconvenient and ridiculous, making it harder for customers instead of stepping up like their competitors.

Made an appointment for ears piercing online. Got there on time and they had no idea about the appointment. Anyway, my daughter got her ears pierced by this facialist woman. She was complaining that my daughter’s ear lobes are small so it’s difficult to do. She shouldn’t have done it if she didn’t have the skills!!! She missed the marking and got one ear pierced away above the marking. I have a photo to prove. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to hurt my daughter’s feelings. We left. I regret so much for this. Why didn’t I go to body piercing place??? Why didn’t I leave when she was grumbling??? I forever resent that woman because the piercing is forever!!! I will never go to this store because I don’t want to be reminded of the experience.

This has got to be the friendliest store around. I am always greeted when I come in. The staff will then leave me alone as I go shopping, but if I need help, there is usually an employee who patrols the store available. I've gotten great service and skin care recommendations from facialist Jo. She'll even alert me if Ulta is giving extra rewards points specials. Then, there is Sophie who is an artist when it comes to eyebrow care, shaping and grooming. Finally, store manager Leslie is so wonderful. She takes good care of all the customers like announcing to all the customers to take advantage of extra rewards points, verbally advertising special upcoming in-house workshops and demonstrations and making sure more employees are assigned to the cash register if she notices that the lines are getting long. The other Ulta stores could learn from this one in areas like providing quality service and excellent customer care in a clean and friendly environment.

Got my hair blow dried here and the lady burned my scalp multiple times and said I’d have a slight curl in my hair but I walked out of there with straight hair. She didn’t even use heat protectant. She also spent 5 minutes walking around the store looking for a lip liner and another 5 talking to another stylist, not doing any consultation with me at all

I walked in today looking for certain product. As soon as I walked into her section I was warmly greeted by Cynthia, she helped me locate my face wash. I asked her for a few options comparable to mine and she was very knowledgeable and helped me decide which option was best for me. She also helped me find and choose other products that I was interested in! My whole experience at Ulta today was amazing, thank you Cynthia!

This place needs more positive reviews. Parking is good (and free). All the employees seem to be helpful and knowledgeable. The store seems to have everything in stock as well and it’s clean. Now I wanted to mention the hair salon, I have had two great experiences. Monica is very sweet and careful. She gave me a great haircut and really listened to me. She also gave me good recommendations after. Fernando gave me a hair treatment and he really took his time, explained everything and really just showed some love to my dry hair. He brought it back to life. I 100% will be coming back here for the salon and to grab my goodies from Ulta. I love it here. 🩷

This store is amazing staff friendly nice and clean very helpful but moat of all they have a great manager Leslie she was very attentive to helping me out with a few things while I did my shopping... I would highly recommend this store people

The staff is incredible. Especially RAFA! Took the time to really help me find a particular shade I was looking for. I've been to 3 different Sephora locations in LA and 1 in San Diego and their staff could learn quite a bit from the associates here at Ulta Beauty. What a gem of a store near our neighborhood. Please don't go anywhere.

Hair stylist (African American older black lady) o forget her name sent a personal photo to my husband of herself which was highly inappropriate.
She did this while I was not paying attention, then she tried to hide it. She also made a few inappropriate comments, and then after his hair was finished, she grabbed the receipt pretty much told me to pay it. She overheard our conversation saying I was gonna pay it. But it was not her place to do that. Completely unprofessional.
