For years, I've loved going into Violet Grey because of how beautiful the store is and the highly curated offerings. I usually buy a few items each time I go. But the past few times I've gone in the people working there have been so unwelcoming and unfriendly. It is such a turn off! There are too many other options out there for buying beauty products-- there's no reason to feel uncomfortable when making a purchase. Not sure if I'll be back.

I didn't understand this store. How is this different from a department store beauty section or Sephora? They sell all the same brands. Super small space; it feels like someone's living room. The only good thing was that the workers were nice to me.

I love coming to shop at Violet Grey! The shop is beautiful and feels very old Hollywood, but you’ll find all the best products. I like knowing that everything has been tested and vouched for. I love shopping with Sima and Brandon. Always a treat getting to go in person to shop.

There is no beauty place like Violet Grey. It's such a gorgeous space, and includes a private makeup studio. The curation is so current and good! The overall vibe is cool... good music...lighting is right (if you know you know). The girls working there were so friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me when I had questions and weren't annoying in any way. I was able to shop in peace. It just feels so private there. I wish there were more special places like this, I would shop online less. I look forward to my next visit there!!

Great brand selection and the store itself is beautiful. But unfortunately the staff is unfriendly and arrogant. I’ve been an online customer for some time and was very excited to visit the offline store. Very disappointing.

Love the products and the store is so cute... but unfortunately the staff is really not welcoming and not helpful. The last two times I went I felt like I was bothering them... much rather go to Saks or Chanel.

Oh my gosh! Had the most wonderful first experience here at this lovely store. Sima and Danilo were there to greet and assist my mom and I. They were so knowledgeable and kind and caring! We had a blast. Thank you so much to you both!! You’re awesome. See you soon :)

The brands they carry are very high end. But there is no sign outside and the door was half closed. Not super inviting. And when I walked in, both the women working there sat in chairs on their phones. Did not seem to want to interact with me. Strange sales strategy. It is a beautiful location but many of these exclusive brands lack warmth and genuine community. They have an arrogant and off-putting air sometimes. They are not in my experience very curious about their customers.

I am always stunned by how rude the sales people are in this store. They hardly make eye contact and have no interest in being nice, helpful and friendly. Such a turn off especially with such a niche store....will definitely be ordering the items I went in store to purchase today online from somewhere else!

I was very apprehensive about this place given all the one star reviews regarding customer service, but they carried a perfume line I’d recently heard about and wanted to try so I popped in on a random afternoon.The space is very nice but small - small to the point that it’s hard to tell who works there and who is a client. After eyeing the perfumes and b-lining in that direction, I proceeded to test the line out and was soon after offered assistance from Jacqueline. She was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable about the brand. I am very researched and know what I like, but still took a few minutes trying things out. She was patient and helpful the entire time. I picked what I wanted, paid, and was done. I appreciate a quick, professional, and direct shopping experience and that’s what I got - couldn’t have asked for anything better.

In-store service is wonderful, but beware of ordering anything via their website. Twice my products have not been delivered. Once, my neighbor found the FedEx box left on the street by garbage cans. The second time UPS delivered the box to the wrong address. Any other company would immediately initiate a refund or an exchange. Not Violet Grey. They wanted to wait until they sorted out their claim with UPS, even though I had documentation from UPS admitting the error. The products are too expensive to keep customers in that kind of limbo. I've been a regular customer for 7 years. Shame on Cassandra Grey.

5 stars for the in-store team, specially Sima, who went out of her way to resolve an issue with a damaged item received from E-COM.0 stars for the E-COM/Customer Service team. God help anyone that experiences any customer service issue. You'll likely get so frustrated that you'll either throw your damaged items in the trash and chalk it up to a loss, or just vow to never shop with them again.Thanks, Sami for picking up the slack for the entire online customer service team!

Their products are lovely but the customer service is terrible, making for a poor shopping experience. Snobbish attitude of the in store staff was very off putting. I also thought it was odd how a white customer in the store was getting attentive care while my presence as a POC came across more as a bother. I had dropped in to find skincare products I'd ran out of, and given the atmosphere assumed that it was a fancy CVS drugstore equivalent. I was surprised when the shop staff told me (that was after I made my purchase), that it was supposed to be curated luxury retailer. If you're looking for a grab and go, I guess experience doesn't matter much, but even so I was taken aback by the rudeness.

Heidi is a GEM. I have been shopping here for a few years for key products and brought my best friend from out of town to the brick & mortar. The staff was lovely, but the level of service and humanity of Heidi was supreme. Not sure if she's been there all along but this was the first time I experienced the in-person service acumen that the brand exudes online. KeepHer.

I purchased 2 bottles of the vitamin c serum. 200 dollars a bottle. Within 3 days both my daughter and I had severe allergic reactions. We had hives, pustules, rashes and my daughter got a swollen eyelid even though the product never touched her eye. I have contacted them and filed a claim with PayPal. I have pictures. We both spent 3 hours at urgent care and have been put on oral steroids and prescription strength cortisone cream. I have pictures of the allergic reactions and of the medicine prescribed. This company will not refund your money if the product has been opened????? They have completely ignored all my correspondence. Do not buy the vitamin C serum and do not do business with this company. I researched the ingredients and all of the ingredients have these potential side effects. Why doesn't the company post that??? Horrible customer service, and dishonest advertising with no warnings. I will probably take them to Small Claims Court.
