“10 out of 10! They say, “if you want to be the best, you need to train with the best.” Well this also goes for the maintenance on your body. As a competitive athlete I want to feel my best, so I need the best to work on my body. Yes, Dr. Dino helps me deal with nagging injuries so I continue my training but also he helps me with preventative care so my body stays moving through hard training. Highly recommend!”

“This year I decided I was ready to make some big changes in my health but I knew I needed extra support, knowledge and encouragement from someone else. I am so glad I found OT theory in Los Gatos. Working out can be so intimidating sometimes but from day one I had the best coach Nathan and Alec who motivated me and give the best results, all training sessions are different so that you don't get bored and at the same time they are also created for everyone's fitness needs. I would definitely recommend OT Los Gatos for anyone who wants to make a difference in their fitness goals and needs.”

“Incredible gym with great workout equipment. Excellent pool which is maintained well. Showers, and multiple kinds of saunas. An indoor / outdoor hot tub... what's not to love? I am an active individual who notices the details. I have never had a bad day at this gym. And I've appreciated the friendships I've made here along the way. You can certainly find another gym with the same equipment but the people are not interchangeable and that's what makes the difference for me.”

“This is an excellent place to start your fitness journey. John is awesome and is extremely knowledgeable. I really loved the smaller class size, tons of personalized attention and collaborative energy in the class. Appreciate the fact that the workouts are designed and customized for individual’s strength/capability even in the group’s setting. Would highly recommend taking the free trial class to get the flavor!”

“Newer member. Like the place overall.Pluses:— Clean.— Friendly, helpful staff (not there Sundays though).— Pretty uncrowded.— Easy to get in and out.— Cheaper than Mountain View YMCA (but more expensive than big gym chains).— Nice ‘regular ppl’ vibe (aka seems mostly roid-bro and bimbo free).— They actually have Airex pads (comfy).— Open 24-7 (‘cept a couple of hours on Friday evenings).Minuses:— Small size means they won’t have everything.— Specifically, no shoulder press machine is a BIG miss. There’s actually room for it.— Could really use a small dedicated stretching area with mirrors. Some ppl are doing physical therapy.— They have clocks, but bigger and/or digital ones are much more useful. You want to be able to easily tell time between sets (rest periods) from anywhere.Overall, can’t ask for much better from a small gym. You may eventually outgrow it, but it’s quite good for what it is. ?”

“I've been working out at HSC with coach Nicole for a little over two months. It has been AMAZING. Currently recovering from an Achilles tendon repair and Nicole has been so mindful and intentional with our workouts. I am building muscle. Feeling stronger and feel all the correct muscles working. She's also funny and makes workouts not feel so dreadful. I've also joined the Olympic lifting classes that are led by coach Kolin and it has been going well. He's super patient and kind. In summary, everyone at HSC is supportive and genuinely caring. I don't feel like a sore thumb. It's all good vibes!”

“I am relatively new to working out - 17 weeks of consistent exercise and still going strong! Let's just say I am on the large size, and I don't always feel comfortable dealing with fitness people, but this has not been the case at all with FIT. I am working remotely with their trainer Jeff. With a relatively small investment I have all of the equipment I need to transform my family room into a workout space each morning. I work out through face time with 3 other women, each of whom are in much better shape than I am. Jeff tailors a program for each of us, so that we are doing similar exercises at the same time fitting each of our needs. He has been particularly good at helping me find ways to continue to work out despite some knee issues. He is amazingly responsive. What I'm enjoying most is the balance in the workouts between strength training and cardio. By the end of every workout I really feel a sense of accomplishment and have worked up a good sweat. I feel that great feeling of having worked hard and accomplished something, but I don't feel so exhausted the rest of the day that my day is shot. I feel revved up rather than beaten down. If your looking for a way to workout from your home, I would give FIT a call. I find the cost reasonable. You don't need your own home gym just some weights, an adjustable weight kettle ball and a mat will get you started. I highly recommend.”

“A Life-Changing Gym ExperienceJoining The Cakery by Marfit has been a life-changing decision for me. At the age of 42, after years of inconsistency with my health and fitness, I've finally found a gym that I love and am excited to go to. The magic of this place lies in its unique approach to fitness, led by the incredible duo, Marlon and Barry. The gym's small group sessions are perfectly structured, offering personalized guidance within a communal setting. This balance of individual attention and group dynamics has been pivotal in keeping me motivated and engaged. Marlon and Barry excel at creating a workout experience that's both effective and enjoyable, making it easy to stay committed. The sense of community here is unlike any other. It's a supportive, encouraging environment that truly feels like a family. The gym's energetic atmosphere is a refreshing change from typical fitness routines, making each session something to look forward to.Above all, Marlon's dedication to his clients sets The Cakery apart. His care, humor, and commitment extend beyond the gym, offering support and friendship that impacts lives far outside its walls. If you're searching for a place that will change the way you view fitness and community, The Cakery by Marfit is it.In just four months, my perspective on health and fitness has been transformed. I'm grateful to Marlon, Barry, and the entire community at The Cakery. This isn't just a gym; it's a place where life changes happen.”

“Sadly the pandemic closed down my long time hot yoga/Pilates studio. Not being the self-motivated type, I went from hardcore hot Pilates four times a week to NOTHING. As my body got visibly out of shape, I got depressed and couldn't muster enough motivation to change. Beginning of this year, after reaching my very peak weight (and lowest level of physical strength), I finally came to the realization that I have to do something about the situation. I tried a few studios and Rebel Rise hit all the marks for what I was looking for:1) Ease of commute and parking: The studio is located in Franklin Square, a small, quiet plaza in Santa Clara "downtown". It's easy to drive to and there are plenty of parking at the lot across the street.2) Small business: I truly appreciate a non-corporate/chain studio, without the the obnoxious headsets and/or take-themselves too seriously attitudes. The studio is well-rounded and down to earth. 3) Clean and orderly: This is a super clean facility. Owner Jenn provides plenty of heavenly smelling tea tree oil sanitizing sprays and wipes for students to wipe down mats, equipments, and blocks after use. For strength training classes, disinfectant wipes are used to wipe down weights and mats as students switch from one station to the next. The equipments are well-organized and varied. There are also mats you can borrow for the class if you forget yours. There's no shower but there is a changing room, as well as a water dispenser. Restrooms are shared with the rest plaza and kept very clean.4) Uncrowded classes: People are not jammed packed into a room. Strength training classes are 8 people max to ensure safety and distance while working out. I believe the yoga classes are maxed at 20. As a person who needs personal space/distance even prior to COVID, I very much enjoy not having people's feet right in front of my face while doing yoga. We don't have to park our mats in closely pre-marked spots either; I appreciate the freedom to choose my space.5) Friendly (not the unctuous kind) and supportive environment: Not only do the instructors greet you by name, all the students are welcoming and kind. I was very nervous about attending the first few classes, afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up. The nerves were completely unnecessary. The longtime students were comforting and sweet, taking the time to learn my name and chitchat. It's not a competitive environment by any means. The classes are easy to adapt for beginners and you are not pressured to do more than what you are comfortable with.6) Variety of classes and schedule: There are 6 AM and 7 AM classes for those are enthusiastic about morning workouts. For people who are more time flexible, there are midday and early afternoon classes. Evening classes start at 5:15 PM and 6:15 PM. FYI, there are more classes offered than the schedule listed on the Rebel Rise website. Use the MINDBODY app to see HIIT classes, workshops, and special events (like free classes at Alo or Vuori). Coming from a hot Pilates background, I do chase a bit of physical difficulty challenge and favor the HIIT and strength classes. Yoga classes are great for stretch and balance practice in between. Due to past yoga related injuries, I appreciate that the yoga classes are not focused on crazy inversions and contortions. I do miss power yoga with a faster and continuous flow sometimes, but then again, HIIT is a decent substitute if you are looking for cardio and body resistance type of workout. About two weeks into the 3x a week one month trial membership, I signed up for unlimited monthly membership. Now two months in, I've gone from a complete couch potato to attending classes up to 5 times a week. It's not only because I enjoy the workouts, I also enjoy seeing my fellow classmates and the instructors. This is such a gem of a studio. I would encourage you to try it out if you are either looking to start or re-start a fitness habit.”

“I have come up to a year of training at CFC, great community and super helpful coaches. Everyone I encountered was encouraging and motivating, giving useful tips. The owner is also amazing, she is a great coach, technical and observing even minute changes. She is cool, reasonable and was supportive when I had some hiccups in my schedule.I was concerned of the cost when I joined, but this is the best money I have spent and was worth every penny. I couldn’t have found a better place to work out. I love this gym, the vibe and the new family I got.”

“I’m so grateful to have found The Camp in Santa Clara! The workouts and trainers are amazing! I’m seeing results each week, and that’s the evidence that keeps me coming back each day. The nutritional guidance has been a game changer! I’ve never been a morning person, but the positive energy from the staff, the camaraderie from the other class members, and the supportive attentiveness of the coaches make it easy to get up at 430 am for a 5 am class. Thank you ?”

“I have to say that joining in 2019 is one of the best decisions I've made out of all the commitments and programs I have been part of. Neal and Tracy were supportive from the get go. The highly dedicated and knowledgeable coaches always provide consistent support and feedback throughout your workouts. My endurance and strength have improved significantly, and I have seen a positive change in my body composition. I couldn’t think of a better place to support your fitness and health goals.”

“Great workout! Multiple class offerings throughout the day that have a variety of cardio and weights. Each class is different and the coaches encourages everyone to push and challenge oneself. The first few classes may take a bit to get familiar with some of the equipment, but don't feel discouraged. Everyone is at different levels, so it's okay to go at one's own pace. The desk staff were very helpful and are not pushy to sign up as a member - there a different options to be able to take classes without the pressure of a membership, which is refreshing.”

“I've been coming here for 3 months working out with Brandon and absolutely love it.Joining or going into a new gym can feel a bit anxious but at Zay's gym, the trainers and everyone is so welcoming and creates this very motivating atmosphere.I signed up to build strength to go snowboarding with the family, but in the process, my confidence has grown, I'm hell of a lot stronger, my blood pressure is down, my resting heart rate is lower. My stamina and endurance is up. Losing weight and a few inches is just another perk.During each session I can forget about everything else in my life and focus on myself. Brandon knows when to push me further and when I'm at my max and give encouragement.Step out of your comfort zone, get pushed to your limits and you'll love the results - mentally and physically.”

“I love how I had to be let into the gym! It makes me feel secure knowing not everyone can walk in. I met up with Dan one of the staff members who gave me a tour of the gym and although it isn’t large, it still carries all the supplies one would need to get fit! The other staff that we ran into along the way were welcoming and overall the experience is a 10/10. This is officially my gym ?”
