“I would agree with other reviewers that this little market doesn't seem to have full shelves. I have never been to their precious location, so I can't compare, but I can say that the woman at the counter, and the older gentleman were very kind. Although there is a little bit of a language barrier, I was able to get my ask across. I had initially gone in there for eggs. And although they don't sell them in normal egg crates, they did sell me individual ones in a bag. I came back a few days later to try out their asada burrito, and yes, to get more eggs. The asada was good, but personal preference, it was pretty heavy on the rice. Price was also good considering the current economy, but again, a lot of rice. My review is a bit mixed - 3 stars for the burrito. And 4 for service and my purchase of eggs. Solid 3.5.”

“Santiago and Pedro are super nice and always make sure my order is just right. The pastor and asada is so good and not too dry or too fatty like I’ve experienced at other places. Prices are so cheap and you get a ton of meat. And they put grilled pineapple on the pastor tacos which I love!”

“Such a great little ranch with the best tasting Avocados! Love the little stand where you can buy every stage of Avocado from Green to Ripe so you can enjoy them on your trip and also take some home. They also have extras like hot sauce, salsas, chips, jerky etc. It's always a must stop for us. The reason for 4 stars is that they used to ship these and we loved it but of course I understand the cost is probably too much but I definitely miss having these shipped to our home in Southern California.”

“Small towns always need a small town grocery store and Spencers Fresh Market is ours. This little store has everything you'd need and somehow is able to always keep the prices reasonable. Its always clean and they keep the store restocked all the time. The produce always tastes fresh and is handled with care. Morro Bay is lucky to have Spencer's.”

“Very friendly easy in and out. Nice liquor selection. Good location across the street from the bouy (bar) so you can pick up any important stuff on the way home. Of course I would never suggest drinking and driving. Police do patrol the bar area.”

“Me and my buddy took a bike ride on the Bob Jones trail, on the way back we rode on the pier and my buddy wanted to show me the octopus or squid in the tank, while we were there the associate wanted me to sample a cold piece of salmon, I thought to myself "cold" and I'm use to eating my wife's just cooked salmon with lemon or Dijon mustard and not a big fan of salmon, so bravely said yes. Wow, my eyes popped open, I couldn't believe the flavor, I asked what kind of salmon was this? She said smoked from outside. Wow, so this is what salmon is suppose to taste like, so I ended up taking a piece for the wife and she agreed, it was great. So if you come to Avila, CA make it a point to buy some smoked salmon.”

“Awesome team. My first time here while horse camping near by. I honestly couldn’t figure things out. Paper towels not near paper plates. Hand soap not near dish soap. Pretty logical layout but not where my brain was at. I honestly had to ask the same clerk who was busy stocking ten times and often it was a hit hidden and he had to show me. This is what grocery stores are supposed to be like. The poor guy has said good morning to me and it was over for him. I kept going back. Young big guy.”

Cypress went out of his way to let me know an item my family likes, was on special one day! Shawn helped me go out of my comfort zone (cooking red meat successfully) and even told me how to prepare it and my kids were so impressed that they asked me to "make that steak again soon." A+ guys!!!!”

“Absolutely delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches & tacos!!! The ownership just changed hands but the food is still amazing. They have awesome selection of snacks, candy, and coolers for reach-in drinks.The Avila burger is huge and loaded with delicious toppings. The fries are Crisp and hot. The Carnitas tacos are homemade the night before and the salsa really makes it.”
