“Planet Fitness has a bad reputation, but this place is more than enough to get in shape and feel better about yourself. I go early in the morning from 4:15 am to 6:00 am and I have energy the entire day at work. The only thing I hate and have a complaint about is the high school students during the Summer. During the summer they can workout for free and take up the weights and machines not because they're working out, but because they are on their phones. As a paying member it's not cool that I have to wait and alter my workouts.”

“I was bullied and attacked most of my childhood so walking into new places with large groups of people can be intimidating and scary. Blueprint LA (BPLA) was the first gym I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed the first day.I found Blueprint LA after I posted on Hermosa Forum (Facebook Group) looking for a personal trainer to get ready for my wedding. Coach Melissa answered my post. She was the one who first introduced me to BPLA and I will be forever grateful for her.I did personal training with Coach Melissa and Coach Shannan. I never felt alone. They have made such an incredible difference in my life. They helped me realize that if I am committed to something, there is nothing that will stop me from achieving what I want to achieve. Both trainers have pushed me to train harder than I would ever push myself. They continually inspire me to try things at a level higher than where my comfort zone lies and it means the world to me. They were patient, flexible to work around my schedule, and checked in on me daily to see how I was feeling after a session or in general. Melissa and Shannan are one-of-a-kind, really care about their clients, and want to make sure they reach their goals. They have helped me achieve an incredibly strong core which has given me more confidence with everything that I do! Thank you Melissa and Shannan for being my coach, friend and inspiration! I truly appreciate you both so much.BPLA coaches are always positive, encouraging, and full of energy. They are all love what they do and truly motivate and encourage all their members. The classes/workouts are always exciting, challenging & new. Working out has become much more fun because now I actually know what I’m doing with the help of the coaches. Not only am I in better shape now, but I also feel much more confident about myself. These workouts have had a huge positive impact on my life.Theres a podcast that you can listen to. “This is my first visit to Radience fitness and I am amazed at my experience thanks to the owner Dey! He welcomed me into his gym which was very ambiant and organized. We went over some of my problems with my elbow with limited range of motion and also problems with my walk, which looks like I am limping. Dey introduced me to some holistic approaches to healing which made a huge difference in the hour that I was there. His knowledge about the body and recovery as well as his genuine and compassionate care will guarantee that you will be receiving the best quality care here. I recommend this gym if you want to see real transformation and progress in a place where you are treated as family!”

“I was in the process of relocating to the DTLA area and finding a new box to join that reminded me of home seemed almost impossible. Luckily I came across Muse! The programming is challenging and I appreciate how it’s done with a long-term perspective. Every day the workout brings on something different but seems to build on lifts that we do the week before. Not only is there a phenomenal workout program but several activities to bring gym members together such as holiday toy drives and potlucks. “Update: I've been coming here for about 5 months and I see such immense improvement in my strength and also can see more toned muscle developing on areas of my body. In addition , this has helped me improve my mental health , as it is my daily escape from the stress and hectic nature of life! Again - run don't walk here! It's an invaluable investment in both your physical and mental health! Run don't walk here! This is the only place to go to for all your fitness needs! I love and adore this place! You get a total body workout in 30 minutes (no class times, just simply pop-in), I already feel stronger and see that I am developing more muscle structure. It's a circuit style training with emphasis on kick boxing, conditioning, weight training, core strength, etc. - this is done within 9 different "rounds" that are 3 minutes each and no prior kickboxing experience is necessary. Believe me, the 30 minutes past by like a blink of an eye!All of the trainers are absolutely exceptional, amazing and attentive! If you have any injuries/pre existing mobility issues or if you have any specific fitness goals, they personalize and modify , each "round" as needed for you. You basically have a personal trainer at each and every workout. Also, this location is extremely welcoming, there is such a deep sense of community and camaraderie when you walk in the door. It's like your neighbor "Cheers" bar (for those of you are old enough to get the reference), where they know your name and you receive a heartfelt warm smile & wave.Stop by as soon as you can! They always offer 2 free sessions for you to experience the work out and the trainers, I guarantee that once you check it out, you will feel awesome and not want to go back to a boring "traditional gym". Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity! “Sanctuary Fitness embodies everything you'd want in a new group HIIT gym you're trying out: welcoming, high energy, organized, and clean. The second I walked in for the very first time, I just knew that they love every single one of their customers, old or new - the front desk employee was super sweet in giving me a quick tour of the gym before I got started to familiarize myself. Once the previous class was over, she happily introduced me to the instructor for my class who gave me the rundown of how the class will work. The set up is super similar to most HIIT classes if you've taken one before: 4 sections with 2-3 different workouts that you'll complete in a certain amount of time then rotate to complete them all in 45 minutes. Every day are different focuses and I came on an arm/ab focused day. It was overall super fun, do-able for anyone (fitness background or not) & Adlai was an energetic + motivating instructor!! Highly recommend - however, DO come early for your class because metered parking can be super tough in the area especially in the morning!! I got super lucky in finding 1 quick for my 8 am class at 7:40.”

“I used to be a weenie. Could only last 3 minutes in the mosh pit of a punk show. Then I found Hollywood Functional Fitness. Under the tutelage of Andy and his awesome coaches, I put on 10 pounds and gained the endurance to drink a gallon of beer and last an entire hour and a half of a Streetlight Manifesto show and became the champion of the mosh pit. I could take the hits and body slams that came my way. Come in and sign up, you will be a better and more solid version of yourself. A solid 5 out of 7 stars.”

“Great lifting gym! Visited more than 3 times with a day pass which is $13 I believe! But there are three day offers to get familiar with the gym and see if you like it! This gym is only 21+ so that is just amazing for those who want to be with people who are older! There are a variety of machines to use and will get you pumped for sure! If i lived closer i would definitely get the membership but i visit when i visit my partner. It also doesn't get too packed which is also a plus! Overall i recommend it 100% for the power lifters and gym rats who take the gym seriously!”

“Personally, ZG is home. I've been with them since they opened. Know coach George for almost 6 or 7 years. Along with Coach Dori, they have a strong team that helps to achieve our goals. After two years Finally completing the 504 three week challenge again. I have improved mentally and physically. Every day is a struggle, but always keep going forward. “Going on my 4th week at Blk Box and really enjoying it. The energy level in the classes is great. I really like that they focus on form and ensuring that you are performing the exercises correctly, no cheating the movements for the sake of pushing a heavier weight. They are also good at adapting to any existing injuries or limits in mobility (while still pushing you!) I'm always impressed when a trainer can make a small dumbbell feel impossible to lift after a few good sets. The workout plans are awesome and really focus on good, functional strength and conditioning. Cant say enough good things about the team either. Ryan, Dez, Marco, and Ty really bring an amazing vibe and get you going even if you've had a rough day. Stoked to be a part of the Blk Box family!”

“I’ve been training with Coach Karl at Movement Society for the last 3-4 months and have had a great experience. I came to Movement Society as a mid-30s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / MMA hobbyist looking to increase my athleticism and decrease my chances for injury. Coach Karl asked thoughtful questions and carefully analyzed my needs. He helped me realize my full body motions were strong, but my hips were tight and my single leg stability was compromised. He designed a program to address these issues. Since then, I’ve continuously noticed how much stronger I am in positions I previously struggled with. My grappling strength has improved quite a bit; and I’m able to keep up with other practitioners who are significantly younger and more spry than myself.During this time, I also pulled my back doing Jiu Jitsu and saw Dr Tony Dang for several sessions — he put me back together quickly and I was able to start training again within a month.I’d highly recommend Movement Society for personal training and PT, and I see myself coming here for a long time.”

“I’ve been coming to 9round for about 2 months now. I decided to start looking for some sort of fitness due to weight gain. I choose not to go to a gym since honestly I’m not sure how to get started! I tried out other places like cross fit/cycling trials but didn’t really like it. When I came to 9round I immediately liked everything! From my first session to the trainers! The trainers are all so friendly and nice. They tell you how to do the stations and tell you how to correct it if you’re doing it wrong. Another thing is how efficient they are at getting the next station ready for you! They clean up the station for you so it’s ready for us. Ever since my 2 months here at 9round I lost about 15 pounds! My cloths fit better, and old cloths that use to be tight fit nice! My friends and even barber noticed a difference! :)”

“It was really rainy today and I entered the gym for shelter, some other students also entered and then left. I stayed until my mother came and picked me up. The staff was really nice, offered some bananas and a chair. Looking at what the other people that goes to the gym on a daily basis, the coaches are really helpful. Judging by how quality of the stuff looks is great, it is really stable and tough based. The person who I’m guessing owns the gym was very nice and told us some stuff about his family.”
