“There's nothing better than waking up to the ocean itself! Not just ocean views, but I mean being mere steps from the ocean. The hotel is a beautiful little hidden enclave right off of PCH. The property is just beautiful, the front desk staff and room service staff are WONDERFUL. The restaurant host left some things to be desired, but the food was FANTASTIC. The rooms are next level with cloud beds, automatic toilets and upgraded features. My only problem with this hotel is the lack of attention to details. Details matter. The little things absolutely matter, especially when you charge an average of 900$ per night. There were multiple spider webs in corners when both the room & the balcony should have been thoroughly cleaned & dusted. There were stains on some of the furniture. There were small stains in the sink & toilet. One of the balcony chairs needed repairs. There were stains on the wall. The amenities had not been checked - there were two 16oz complimentary aluminum water bottles and one was already half-empty. I don't want a water bottle with someone else's germs. The breakfast was delicious, but again, the little things matter. There were mini 1oz personal jams and one had already been used. I don't want to use a food item already used by someone else. The room service staff happily and quickly replaced the jam. A dedicated white glove Quality Assurance program is necessary. Someone has to double check the little things so they don't become big things. The last thing was the in-room spa service, provided by Spa Connections. Check-in is at 4pm. I checked in around 3:20 or so and requested a massage for around 5:30pm as that was the only available slot. The massage therapist arrived around 5:50pm because of traffic from L.A., and she was visibly exhausted. The sheets she brought were very, very, very worn. She was yawning and for the half the massage, she was moving with her eyes closed. She was just that exhausted and I ultimately ended the service early because it was not enjoyable. I won't name her because she did her best under less than ideal circumstances; and her company did not put her in the best position to deliver the best service. These little things matter and quality assurance matters because it shows you care enough about customers to pay attention to the little things. Once the hotel fixes these very tiny little things, it might very well be the best hotel in California! All in all, it's a beautiful and magical place and SOOOO worth visiting because of the amazing staff, location and food!! The staff/team goes above & beyond to make your stay special. And my stay was an absolute dream!”

“We staying one night while traveling south from Santa Barbara. Staff was welcoming and very gracious. This is a cool little retro motel with boutique touches. We wish we could find more of these in our travels vs big chain hotels. Starbucks and really nice grocer 3 mins down the road sad we’re able to walk across (busy but fine) route 1 to an amazing authentic Italian restaurant - Givani’s.”

“I had such a great experience staying here! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me during a somewhat hectic trip. They were kind enough to have my room ready early because I needed to get to a birthday party, and with a closure on PCH, my plans became even more complicated. I ended up having to check in very late, and they were incredibly understanding and accommodated me without any hassle. To top it all off, I accidentally left my ID and credit card in the room after I checked out. They were kind enough to find my belongings and mail them back to me. I know I was probably a bit of a high-maintenance guest with everything going on, but the staff was consistently patient, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. I really appreciated their kindness and excellent customer service. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this Inn!”
