The five-star hospitality started before we even arrived. The upfront communication from the hotel was fantastic. The concierge reached out to confirm our check-in time and sent over a curated list of local restaurants and nearby Malibu activities. This proactive approach took all the stress out of planning and made our trip effortless.

Outstanding Staff & Personalized Check-in
From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff made us feel completely at home. A huge thank you to Marisol, who cheerfully checked us in and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel even arranged a couple of thoughtful anniversary surprises in our room that my wife absolutely loved (and definitely made me look like a hero!). From that point on, the entire trip was pure bliss. Every single staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a wonderful stay.

Unbeatable Location & Breathtaking Views
You cannot beat the location of this property. It is perfectly situated right on the water and is incredibly close to top-tier restaurants and great shopping. The oceanfront view from our room was simply unbelievable, and waking up to the sound of the waves right outside your balcony is an unforgettable experience.

Whether you are planning a romantic anniversary trip, a parents' weekend getaway, or just looking for the premier oceanfront hotel in Southern California, I cannot recommend the Malibu Beach Inn enough. Incredible views, a perfect location, and an amazing staff make this a 10/10 experience.”

“The Nobu Ryokan Malibu is a fabulous, relaxing, elegant property, with amazing, uncompromising, top of the line service. The entire staff worked seamlessly together, to create a most memorable and enjoyable stay. Our suite was sweet and spacious, with two luxurious spa like bathrooms. The room has a couple easy fixes that need to be addressed: ie a new carpet in the living area, discoloration's or oil stains on the couch need to be removed, and the bed needs to be replaced. It felt like a futon, a thin, hard, old futon mattress, which detracted from the luxurious vibe the hotel is striving for. Located right on the ocean, we enjoyed our terrace for sunning, relaxing, dining, and taking in the ocean scene. One of the rooms highlights was the mini bar. It was completely personalized, down to the very last detail. All requests were answered thoroughly. While staying at the Ryokan, I also enjoyed a very powerful Reiki session in my room, through Fit Concierge. I HIGHLY recommend having a Reiki session at the Ryokan, it was like the icing on the cake for our stay. I hope you get a chance to stay at the Nobu Ryokan Malibu soon. “We staying one night while traveling south from Santa Barbara. Staff was welcoming and very gracious. This is a cool little retro motel with boutique touches. We wish we could find more of these in our travels vs big chain hotels. Starbucks and really nice grocer 3 mins down the road sad we’re able to walk across (busy but fine) route 1 to an amazing authentic Italian restaurant - Givani’s.”
