Nice hiking area. A three-mile hike that is somewhat paved with shade from trees. Small elevation gain, but management. There is a small waterfall at the end with a one-time home location that was burnt down, but you can still see its foundation.

Wouldn't recommend going mid day but it's a great early morning hike and there's some water going down. But on the way up there isn't much shade

Solstice Canyon Trail has collapsing ruins, shaded canyon, and views out to the ocean. I strolled through quiet forest paths past the old ranch house ruins.
