“We are staying in Manhattan Beach for a month and looked for a local butcher. Found Manhattan Meats and stopped by. It’s a combo meat market (you pay for your meat purchases at the meat counter) and a small market, so very convenient. I picked up their housemade sausage and we were very impressed, fresh and very well made and seasoned. Their steaks and 1/2 pound burgers looked amazing, as well as their fish selection. They also had natural chicken, rotisserie chicken and seasoned kebabs. Love the old-fashioned customer service.”

“One stop shop for everything Louisiana based products and chicken sausage is definitely something you cannot just get anywhere and other meats DD sausage but you definitely have to try I drive from Lancaster California to come here and it’s worth the drive you won’t be disappointed”

“Been coming here for about 25yrs now! And it never disappoints...Was referred by an ex coworker who grew up around the area. I've been told I am crazy to drive so far (32mls)...that I can get meat just as good nearby...Well I have tried other places & each time after being disappointed, I had to take that ride to Carson. Believe me, it's well worth it! Most times when I come during holiday weekends, I find others who come from far away cities as well...so I'm not the only one taking these drives. This past week I tried the shrimp only ceviche for the first time. Delicious!”

“If you like fresh produce and meat you have to check out Luis's. I'm a professional chef and I use all their meats. Beef (oxtails) pork, chicken fish etc. it's always fresh and fair in price. Margarit is so sweet and kind. I call to check inventory and she always let me know what's in. All the men in the meat department are super nice and they cut the meat anyways ( only if it's safe) lol don't go asking for too thin pieces lol. Thank you”

“I have driven by this market for years But never stopped because it looked very unappealing due to the title MEAT. That word always stood out, and since I don’t eat meat, I never went in. Apparently, there are new owners, and while I don’t know how it was before, I decided to stop in because I needed cilantro, and now I noticed meat and vegetables. I don’t think I have ever been in a cleaner store. It was absolutely spotless. I’ve gone there twice now and it’s going to be go to place for produce. I was so impressed about everything, the prices are good. The produce quality is superior to the mainstream grocery stores. Yassir, the manager Is super friendly, above and beyond! The owner is lucky to have such a great employee to represent.
I didn’t try any of the homemade sorbet or ice cream, but I did take note. They had a professional juicer behind the counter so not only is it homemade, they use fresh juice to make it. I also purchased some fresh green salsa, which was out of this world. I’m so happy to have found this little market.”
“They have come a long way . I have been ordering from this company for years now . They used to have long lines but now you can pre order and pick up on a specific day and time of your choice . When you arrive they have two lines - 1 for those that preordered and 1 for walk ins . This makes the process go pretty quickly . Products are fresh and usually in stock .”

Of people going in and out with their ham and other stuff that They have there. They got all kinds of jelly. They have a small frozen section with Mac and cheese? other kinds of ?cakes. You don't even have to go on ?Easter. Or Thanksgiving It's always open. They have smoked Turkey ?there too. Any day is a good day for honey baked ham?....
Parking: It's pretty difficult to park and there's not a lot of handicap parking either♿️”
“Stopped by here today since I couldn’t find a pizza place to try out. Very good Asada burrito. A lot of meat inside. Burrito comes with chips and salsa. I’ve tried on a few occasions to stop by here but the very limited parking always made me go elsewhere. Order outside and they do have a meat market inside. Friendly staff. If you plan to stop by here park as soon as you see an available spot that’s what I did because of my previous experiences. Street parking only. Dead end street along the south side. I’ll be back again for another burrito and to try something different”

“I googled this very-close-to-my-house space in search of pigs feet and oxtails to take to family, per their request. There was a slight line because it was just before Christmas, but once waited on, the butcher was helpful. The butcher shared that he cut the oxtails fresh daily. Mommy confirmed that the quality of what I brought her was top-notch, with no additional paring down of the oxtail fat being necessary, since they had been perfectly cut and trimmed.I was also asked by the butcher exactly how I wanted the pigs feet cut. Top shelf service, top shelf product.”
“I think this is a pretty cool place when you can grab some asada and buy a cold one at the same time plus the have bread. It's located on the corner of 54th street and Van Ness with handy parking. I've been going here for years since I was a child actually.”
“This has become my go-to place for affordable Mexican groceries because the prices are fine, the parking lot is big, and you can actually walk from the LaBrea expo line. It's not at beautiful as Northgate (which I LOVE) but it's much more affordable and they still have a good selection of Mexican ingredients and the butcher section is robust. The traffic can be brutal on La Brea so plan accordingly.”

“I was casually driving to my grandpa’s house when I spotted a BBQ sign with smokers outside. Starving and craving something good, I decided to pull over—and I’m so glad I did. I was greeted with amazing service, and while the food was fantastic, what truly made the experience special was the people. There was a real family feel to the place.
