“Front desk help on Sat afternoon checking in was friendly , helpful, and easy. The picture of the room we selected had a small couch in it so that was the reason we selected the room for our younger son. But there was no couch in the room so front desk had rollaway put in at no charge. Thank you!”

“Beautiful Location & Great Stay

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Marina, California for two weeks for work, and I truly enjoyed my experience. The location is peaceful, safe, and perfect for anyone who enjoys being outdoors. There are lots of walking and hiking trails along the beach, and the beach is only about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooftop is a great feature, with beautiful views that are especially nice to enjoy after a long day. There is also shopping within walking distance, and parking was always convenient and accessible.

Stephen at the front desk was wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and professional. The breakfast was great as well and made mornings easy during my work trip.

“tldr: As good as can be expected IF you can get it for under a hundred a night, but more than that and you may be disappointed. I had to pay way more due to busy weekend, and in retrospect the extra few bucks a night may have been worth the upgrade. They don't have fitted bed sheets, for example, so they're always pulling out, and the shower is circa 1950 and dank. NO AIR CONDITIONING but the windows open so good airflow if it's not a heat wave. AMAZING burritos at Papa Chevo's just a few blocks south!

Long winded: I was in town to attend Sea Otter at Laguna Seca, and I stayed her to save some money vs Monterey. If you're the kind of person I am - a guy who road trips and has no standards - you always stay in the cheapest place you can find that doesn't have something REALLY bad wrong with it. A few cleanliness reviews are not going to deter me. I'm not a clean freak, and I don't expect a spa: I just want enough space to stash bikes and get some rest with my kids. And I like these one-story motels with the parking lot in the middle because of security and being able to get to your car so easily, especially when traveling with bikes.

This place mostly met my very low expectations. The two-queen room was HUGE, with two beds AND a 3-person dining table setup AND lots of room left over. So that was awesome. The beds were too firm, but I travel with a camping pad to put on top anyway so I don't have to worry about it, and kids are tough. (My wife wasn't with me so I don't have the ladies' perspective, but I can guess she would not have loved it). The shower was one of those dark, fully tiled stalls behind a tiny glass door with no light, which gets the job done but will not cause you to linger any longer necessary, and I'm not the type to pull out a flashlight and go looking for grime so I wouldn't know if it was dirty or not. Overall very cheap bathroom with no fan, but the window opens.

My main beef was price. There was a big event nearby, which I was attending, so I had to pay $220 PER NIGHT for what is $80 every other weekend. Okay, all is fair in love and war: if they're busy they can ask more money, that's just business. But then I get there and the parking lot was almost empty! It just made me feel like they should have negotiated with me a bit since I was booking only a few days ahead so they KNEW they were almost empty, yet they held the line at that ridiculous price. Oh well, it was a good stay for our use case (dudes and teenagers more concerned with storage space than amenities), but most women I know would not like it just because of the age of the bathroom and the lame bedding.”

“The man who checked us in was very kind and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy. We were sooo excited when we went to check out and we were given a special complimentary to go breakfast !! All of the staff were very sweet and it was cool to have access to a gas station right outside of our motel. Perfect place to stay during our travels. :)”

“Rooms: The rooms are clean and the size is good including the bathroom. No musty odor upon entering. It smelled fresh. The rooms not overly large, but big enough that they feel comfortable. My wife approves of the beds and pillows which are both clean and soft. Breakfast: There was no waffle iron or mix but there was a pancake machine. There were bagels, bread, english muffins, and toasters, butter, and jam/jelly. There were small muffins and cinnamon rolls available as well. There was cereal and milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, tea, and half & half. There were apples and bananas available. There were biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, small cheese omelettes with what seemed like cheddar, and small sausage links. The sausages and the omelettes were the only protein sources. Unfortunately there was no bacon. All hot food items came from packaged/frozen and the eggs were from liquid eggs, but that’s standard with all of these hotels. Overall I would rate the breakfast as adequate. Overall I rate the hotel 4.5 of 5 stars. If the breakfast was better I’d give a 5. The view from the room was of trees/nature. This room was on the corner of the hotel and had two windows. The other window had a view of the parking lot/nature. There is a Walmart located adjacent to the hotel and definitely within walking distance. The surrounding area was very beautiful and seemed very safe. If you’ve read this entire review and are considering staying here l would recommend going ahead and booking a room here. I’m a very tough critic and yet I like this place.”

“Tv was tricky but receptionist came to help get it situated. Deluxe room is very spacious furniture is comfortable. Double bed is comfortable. Refrigerator is clean and cold, microwave is clean. Bathroom has a small toilet but everything works well.”

“I was in room 103, the 1st morning was Glorious! So much Fog!! I fell in love with Country Inn. I was an Evacuee from the 800 Casanova ave Building fire. The Staff & service was outstanding.
