“This hotel was so welcoming! The decor, the staff, the food was all excellent! Felt so welcome and at home. So many nice outdoor seating areas as well to take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds the hotel. Staff is very knowledgeable on good places in the area to explore!”

“Charming small hotel, with a view of Dunsmuir's old historic main street and the mountains beyond wrapped in autumn fog. The lobby is a creative boutique with beautiful hand-made and artisan items to buy. The train runs just next to town and it's an old-fashioned romantic sound to hear when you open the window.”

“I stayed two nights in rustic cabin 10. This cabin is over 100 years old, and to me, it is the best choice. They offer modern cabins for 2 or 3 times the price. And they offer hotel rooms. But i feel you can find those anywhere. This cabin has serious personality and is quite memorable. It has a bathroom and showet, they provide soap, shampoo, and great towels. Certain cabins have a balcony out the back door, with river views and a barstool type eating area. The front of the cabin has a porch, a rocking chair, a hammock swing, and a nice weber bbq in front of each cabin. Across the way is a park-like area with hammocks, plenty of picnic tables spaced out nicely, firepits, bocce ball, basketball, and little lights connected to all the trees. Hundreds of lights, and the stadff meticulousy checks and replaces burned out bulbs. It gets into the 80s in the room during the day, with no ac, but i left all the windows open and it will be 62 by morning. Really refreshing. A full fridge and freezer and a camping stove rounds out the kitchen. Plates, glasses, pots and pans and kitchen utensils are provided. Youre close to your neighbors so it feels like a bit of a community. The only downside is the freeway noise, as the resort is right along I-5. Without the freeway, it would be truly spectacular, but it takes a bit of effort to zone out the trucks and cars. Only other negative is the very cold pool, i opted not to swim. Maybe I'd like that more in August”
“We stayed in the whisper room, so named for the owner's beloved dog, with our westies. The room was pre warmed by the staff. A few steps down from our doorstep was a small lawn for the boys to take care of business. Breakfast credit was included, and we chose Traci's corner Cafe. Wonderful food, good sized portions, hit the spot. Location wise, right next to Mount Shasta and the 3 mccloud falls. We had a wonderful time here.”
