Founded in 1990, Family Giving Tree (FGT) strengthens communities by fulfilling essential needs for students and families that are classified as low to very-low income. This non-profit bridges the financial gap by providing backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies and wished-for holiday gifts. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of others, children have the tools they need to pursue a brighter future and experience holiday joy.
I remember when I was young and mom who is a single parent, taking care of 5 kids by herself, took us here.....thinking back she had a super hard time and she did her best. Love you mom. And thank you for having a place like this to make my mom's life a bit easier.

What a fantastic organization. Please consider signing up for their mailing list if you'd like to volunteer as spots fill up quickly, another plus is that children are welcome to join to help out too, which many organizations require them to be 16 y.o. and up.
