“My son went to hands on learning for 2 years, and we really liked it. The teachers are caring and loving. They focus on helping the kids eat, sleep properly and feel loved (esp in the early years). It expands to teaching (reading, writing, worksheets etc) as they grow older. Ms Lad is a very good teacher, I could see the difference in my son’s reading and writing skills. Ms Elis is a blessing, the way she hugs every kid and speaks about them positively and encouragingly, both to the kids and their parents - it makes my heart smile :)”

“Our kid has loved going to Genius Kids Milpitas (GKM) preschool over the past two years. The school does a wonderful job balancing academics, social development, cultural celebrations, and confidence-building activities like public speaking. The thoughtfully planned weekly themes keep learning engaging and fun, while also helping children explore a wide variety of topics and experiences.

We appreciate the personalized attention and genuine care the teachers show in always looking out for the children’s best interests. Even after managing energetic kids throughout the day, the teachers continue to greet every child and parent with a smile. Their patience, warmth, and dedication truly reflect in the children’s growth and happiness.

We highly recommend GKM to parents looking for a nurturing environment focused on overall development.”

“Where do I even start? I booked a tour at Elan Preschool when my child was about 14 months old. As an elementary school teacher I was blown away by these facts:

1. Elan has been in business for decades.
2. Elan has a tailored curriculum for each individual child.
3. Elan uses an amazing app (Brightwheel) where teachers can share photos/food updates/potty updates for your child, collect tuition fees, send messages directly to you, etc.
4. Elan has extracurricular activities during the week (ABC music and Tuff Tumblers as a gymnastic class) that you can pay for if you'd like extra enrichment for your child. If you don't sign up your child for these, your child will be given extra outdoor time.
5. Elan has a HUGE outdoor area with safe plastic playgrounds. Instead of tanbark for flooring, they cut up big pieces of recycled rubber that can absorb a lot of shock. There are lot of outdoor toys and vehicles to play with.
6. Elan offers DATE NIGHT once a month so you can drop off your child or children until from 5/6 until 9/10 PM!
7. Elan doesn't allow kids to bring food with sugar. They will allow foods that have very minimal sugar. I love this.

This might be con for some people, but not for me:
*Elan doesn't provide snacks and lunches for your child, but I prefer that because my child is a picky eater. They will heat up food for your child if you wish.

Elan had an open spot for my son when he was 26 months old. I was also impressed by these facts:

1. Elan assigns each family a door code, and check-in/check-out codes for each caregiver.
2. I was worried about him starting school and since he doesn't talk much, I would ask the teachers about him every day for about a few weeks after school. They reassured me and I felt so much better about everything.
3. My son didn't cry the first 3 days during drop-off because he didn't know any better. He cried on the 4th and 5th day, but after that, my son has not cried during drop-off. That shows me he really enjoys school.
4. I feel like Elan really helps foster his academic and social skills.
5. I love the monthly calendar which shows the kids' and staff members' birthdays, the dates where they bring in outside vendors like a petting zoo, bubble show, musician, magician, etc. Each month they may ask kids to have bring a show-and-tell item, book, wear a specific outfit, etc. They have water play days, family carnival day, holiday parties, special events, etc.
6. According to their monthly calendar, they also do art, cooking, science, music, dance, etc.

There are other preschools closer to us, but I really value Elan for the quality care, attention, fun that it provides for all children and families. I talked to another mom who probably toured 6 or 7 preschools before choosing Elan. We are confident that we really made the best choice for our children!”

“We are grateful for the wonderful experience our daughter had during her one and a half years at this daycare. She was in two different classes and had many teachers, and every single one of them was exceptionally caring and attentive to her individual needs. A good example of their dedication is how they handled her drop-off crying. When the teacher noticed that food could calm her down, they began preparing a bowl of Cheerios for her every morning, no matter how late we were. Beyond the classroom, all the staff members are consistently nice and courteous. They take the time to know every child by name, and it’s clear our daughter felt comfortable and happy there. Communication with the center has always been prompt and reliable; we were immediately notified of any minor accidents that occurred. The center director is also highly responsive and quick to address any issues that arise in the classroom between kids. This professionalism and care from every level of staff made us feel completely at ease.”

“This review is long overdue. I was very hesitant to put my twin boys in daycare and visited several places before choosing KinderCare. What stood out to me immediately was how warm, clean, and genuinely caring the environment felt.

The transition was honestly hardest on me—as a new mom, it was difficult to let go and trust others, especially while still learning about toddler behavior. There was a biting phase early on, which I didn’t realize is normal at this age (and eventually my boys went through it too). I almost pulled them out, but instead of making me feel judged, the staff handled it thoughtfully and proactively by moving them into a smaller toddler classroom. That made a huge difference.

Since then, I’ve been incredibly happy. The teachers are truly amazing—you can tell they genuinely love and care for the kids, which is not an easy job. My boys are learning so much and are engaged in a variety of activities like arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, and holiday celebrations. They’ve also developed a great routine (and somehow nap better there than they do at home!).

As a single mom with limited support, KinderCare has made my life so much easier. The team is accommodating, supportive, and makes me feel welcomed—like family. I’m really grateful we found this place.”

“My daughter's first ever childcare provider was LFM - she joined school as a shy (Thanks to Covid), barely speaking toddler and bloomed into a kind, considerate, talking, singing preschooler during her time there. The staff deserve a special shout-out - they were always available for a quick chat and kept us posted on day to day occurrences - my daughter felt safe & cared for and the fact that she runs to hug her teachers is testament to that bond. Even now, she asks if she will go back to Tulip sometime and join the experiments Ms.E does. Thank you for making learning fun - We couldn't have asked for a better start to her learning journey!”
