Dr Nguyen is a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor, who goes above and beyond for the care of his furry friends!
Today was our very first visit with Dr Nguyen at this amazing hospital, the entire staff was very friendly and totally loving on our golden doodle, Bentley! For the very first time , our boy was completely chill and generally happy to be around a veterinarian/ hospital setting. lol
The doctor took his time to explain everything to us in detail and we never felt rushed ….
Their prices too are very reasonable…
I would highly recommend Village Oak Veterinary Hospital to anyone who wants top notch quality care for their pets.

5132 Yosemite Blvd, ModestoThe employees at Empire Vets are wonderful. They are a whole different class of people. They really care about your animal. Our dog got chewed up by a pit bull. We took her to Empire Vets and they helped her without asking us if we had money or any source of payment first. That kinda stuff don't usually happen. They were so concerned about our dog. They got her up and ready to go. We were so pleased with their service that we will never take out dog anywhere else besides Empire Vets. Thank you to everyone who works who works there.

2109 Crows Landing Rd, ModestoI don't know much about this place we just went there when our one dog had to be put to sleep she had a twisted stomach and we had switched her to canned food and it was Old Roy brand and basically she got emaciated on it and because of the emaciation from that we couldn't do the surgery to straighten out a stomach she was just too sickly from it. She was however double her life expectancy which is usually 9 years she was 18 the vets were very impressed.

When the lab the blood test was sent to for my mare's Coggins test lost the sample, the vet came an hour drive to my house to redraw the blood that day for no charge. I had the results back in less than 24 hours so our trip went on as planned.
When I brought my beloved horse, whom I had for 25 years, for his final rest, I was given the most compassion that I have EVER had at a vet hospital. Over the last 50+ years of owning horses and doing a lot of rescue, I have never had such compassion from a vet and staff. This is absolutely the best equine vet in the Central Valley, hands down.

4566 Salida Blvd, SalidaAlmost a year ago my dog suffered what was diagnosed as a type of stroke. I only ended up at sisk because it was the closest to my home in my emergency. That being said, the entire staff was beyond empathetic, understanding, making what I was thinking would be my dogs last day. Thankfully he slowly came out of it and has made almost a full recovery. The Dr. was extremely explanatory in options and continued care. For this reason, I will be taking him back for an ear issue he's continued to have that the seemingly "top clinic" in Escalon couldn't seem to get a handle on.

The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here!

3232 Beckwith Ct, ModestoI’ve been seeing Dr. Mike and Dr. Chad for many years. You cannot find better doctors in the area. There are so many reasons why I’m giving them this rating. The staff is wonderful, communications are excellent, they do what they say they are going to do, and you don’t wait for hours and hours to see them. You won’t find better fees. I would almost keep this rating to myself so that I can get appointments without competing with you. However, they are just so good that they deserve a 10 out of 5. Consider yourself lucky that I’m sharing this with you. I love my veterinarians.

They are very efficient and so far have done wonderful helping my pets. I am willing to pay whatever I need to get my fur babies taken care of, but the price is my only complaint. They are very expensive. With that being said, I am grateful that they do take good care of my pets

The staff is always so friendly and so great with our pups! When we drop them off, the dogs can't wait to leave us and go with the staff, we take this as a good sign! Then, while we are on vacation and see the updates online, it makes us so happy knowing how the dogs are being taken care of!
We definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs boarding!

Big Basin Dog Training
4554 Claribel Rd, ModestoWe enrolled our 2 yr old Black Labrador in the 30 day private dog training. Oh my goodness, Gary is an amazing trainer...Last fall our dog broke my collar bone & pulled my 6.2 ft husband down to the ground w her excessive LACK of FOCUS & 70 lb strength. The 30 day private training was worth every dollar because we were not going to be able to handle her and we knew it. She is now absolutely wonderful . We picked her up last Friday and we r both so excited to experience her calm & focused. Also, she looks healthy, bright and alert. Over the weekend we continued to train on the basics... heal/sit; sit/stay (we went out about 20 ft and returned) she did not move; go to your place (bed) and she calmly lays down and stays until we take her out, for me that is just magic; we also can take her out to go "Potty" and we now can train her to go in a designate area...oh my, that is just wonderful. On heal, she never pulled once which is not the story 30 days ago. If she got a little ahead of us, we corrected her and she immediately listened & got right back into position. Amazing & Excellent work Gary!!! After our 1st weekend, on Monday we started working w Peggy to "Train us" so we don't untrained our doggy. I think Peggy has the difficult job, hahaha. She has been great to work w, she answered all our questions and tomorrow we return for our 2nd private training session...Yay! The key is to train us to lovingly reinforce all the skills our doggie has learned. One final comment: This will now be where we board our doggie on our longer vacations. I noticed when we returned on Monday for our training, Kaili wanted to say hi to everyone, was so excited to see Gary her trainer, and she wanted go inside to the kennels...signal to me, she liked being there. We are absolutely grateful to Gary and Peggy for giving us a dog we can be excited to work with and thoroughly enjoy.
