We also got quotes from a couple of other national moving companies. My Aunt ultimately wanted to use a moving company with a local agent that was closer to her house in La Crescenta.

“Tom who has had this business for many years (also works as a third party for Atlas moving and Storage) is very knowledgeable of both the moving and storage business.
I did research for about 1.5 years before I actually moved and ended up hiring Atlas Moving and Storage. I learned that hiring one of the top five major van lines that are regulated was the best way to go because scheduling/delivery is both accurate and speedy. I received friendly customer service and correct information was given throughout the process.
If I would have chosen a company that offered the low pricing, the final price would have ended up the same price or more with damages that I may not have been reimbursed for. Also, my stuff would have gone all over the place before reaching the final destination, taking weeks longer and I did not want to pull my hair out. Container Pods are over rated because there is no service, therefore if you are not able to load and unload yourself, you will need to pay someone to do it. In the end, you pay for what you get, including breakage, especially if not loaded correctly.
I stored with Tom through Pasadena Moving and Storage from February 2025 to May 2025 since I did not have a permanent address in South Carolina and then Tom coordinated the move to my new residence. Storing in Los Angeles was the best route otherwise I would have been on my own finding a place to store in South Carolina and arranging the move from storage to new home.
Working with Tom and his contacts with Atlas was a breeze and really took the anxiety out of moving. Atlas driver and delivered was wonderful to work with.
