Ganna Walska Lotusland is a stunning botanical garden and a must-visit destination in Santa Barbara. Known for its spectacular beauty, the gardens feature a variety of eco zones and exotic plants that change with each season. Visitors can explore the gardens through self-guided or docent-led tours, with guided tours offering in-depth insights into the history and care of the plants. The gardens are spacious enough to enjoy for about two to two and a half hours, providing ample time to appreciate the unique exhibits, including a beautiful cactus garden and a peaceful Japanese garden. The experience is highly recommended, especially for those interested in nature and botany. Visitors often find the gardens to be worth the cost, with some driving from Los Angeles specifically to see this place. Reservations are necessary, as entry is limited to ensure a tranquil environment, and tickets should be purchased in advance. The staff and guides are knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the visit even further. However, some reviews mention a less positive experience with a rude docent, which can affect the overall impression. Overall, Lotusland offers an unforgettable experience with its extraordinary beauty and peaceful ambiance. It is an ideal location for a special occasion or a relaxing day immersed in nature’s wonders.
Incredible, Tim does an amazing job working and providing information. Thank you

Lotusland is a beloved local treasure. If you have an affinity for Flora and Fauna you would be remiss if you were in the Santa Barbara area and fail to book a reservation. The property is jaw dropping.

A must do when visiting Montecito! We spend two hours here on a guided tour. The gardens are just beautiful! Be sure to book a guided tour if you want an in-depth look at the history and care of the gardens. We made it a day and started at Cafe Luxxe for coffee and SYR for lunch!
