“I love Daiso, so this is a review for this location only and not the company as a whole. This location is smaller than most and while there was a wide range of products it felt less stocked than a typical Daiso. The low lighting made it difficult to read some packaging, I didn't find it to be very well lit in comparison to most retail stores like Target or DollarTree. Staff was less friendly than typical for Daiso, but they also seemed to be understaffed, so maybe I was just there on a bad day for them. Parking at this location is ample, there's a huge free lot, but you have to walk a ways to find the entrance and go to the store. I've been going to this shopping center for 5 years and only just discovered it was there, so it's not very obvious to find. The pricing is all listed in Yen, and they have charts to show you how they're converting it to US dollars for your purchase.”
“I've gotten a lot of great stuff from this flea market. There's tons of video games, collectibles, antiques, tools, junk and not to mention your every day convenience store things. There's also a great little section with produce. Takes about an hour to walk the whole thing if you keep a good pace but also take your time to look through some things. Some of the venders don't bend on prices but a lot of them will, so make sure to haggle a little! It's open every day of the week but I've found Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days to go! Saturday and Sundays are fun but they tend to have a lot more newer msrp value things opposed to old used things. Definitely recommend this flea market for anyone in the bay area.”

“This is one of my favorite stores in Chinatown, it's a lot like the Ben Franklin shops of my childhood. They have great toys, crafts, hardware, housewares, accessories, and pajamas and shoes, and snacks! They really do have everything. We get our house slippers here. You can't beat their prices and the owners are pleasant.”
“Typical dollar store in a lower crime community. Parking lot is small and shared with other businesses, but relatively safe from thieves. Panhandlers don't often come here. Store is smaller that Oakland location but cleaner.”
“This is one of the better Dollar trees around. They have mostly everything you need there.But what really sets this place apart is an employee named Patricia. I don't think I met an employee like her . She's a hard worker and knows where everything is in the store. She always opens up a register when somebody else is waiting. She literally treats you like a human being. I don't think I've met anybody like her in any other store. You need to keep this employee give her a raise and promote her . And if possible try to find more people like her. Just want to say thank you Patricia for being such a hard worker. You're an amazing person...

“I have been shopping here for the past year ever since I discovered the store through a friend. I love the store so much for multiple reasons one of them being the awesome products that I can find on a daily basis because everything is constantly getting changed so much, but the cashier that I go to every single time I come in and that is Brianna. She has excellent customer service. A true dedication and You can tell that she takes pride and what she does. She cracks me up and makes me laugh every single time I come through her line and overall gives me the best experience. If I could, I would give her 100 stars. She needs a promotion!”

“I just wanted to give the employees at this location some love really quick. This dollar tree is my go to and I frequently come here to get a lot of my essentials. The staff members are always kind and respectful and even when they are short handed they are always trying their best to help you.
Some members of general public that also shop here can sometimes be questionable though. The last few times I have been here I have seen the employees of this location endure some of the most disrespectful and disgusting behavior from other customers in the store. From racist remarks, being cussed out and completely disrespected, and even being threatened by complete strangers. I have seen employees of this store endure some of the nastiest treatment I have ever witnessed from others, and I just wanted to say that I see you guys and I feel for you. I hope God blesses and protects you all from the craziness of this world. I hope you also know that there are people in your community who see you and appreciate you all. ❤️
And for the rude mf’s that feel like it’s okay to belittle others and be disrespectful to people who are just out here trying to eat and pay their bills, imagine if that was your mom behind the counter or someone else you cared about. If you're willing to brave a few common city inconveniences, this Dollar Tree in Oakland is absolutely worth the trip for the value and selection. While it's a smaller store, the employees do an incredible job because the shelves are bursting at the seams with merchandise—it feels like they fit twice as much as they should! You'll find lots of good finds here, but be ready to navigate packed aisles.
The service is exceptional: the staff is great and work hard to keep everything running despite the volume of customers. Plus, the security guard is super friendly, which always makes the atmosphere welcoming.
I'll be honest, the parking isn't great, but it works if you're patient. And yes, you might encounter long lines due to how popular this location is, but the savings is worth the hassle. For incredible deals on household items and spontaneous finds, this is a beloved Oakland spot.”
