“We think what makes a Marriott property stand out is when you walk in and the caliber of customer service you receive. We had to change our plans on our stay once we arrived and needed some assistance. Scott, the front desk manager, stepped up and made everything work for us to ensure we were happy. Nick also helped us on numerous occasions.
This is an older property but well maintained, clean and shares amenities with the Residence Inn next door. It is close to downtown Morgan Hill.
They charge a parking fee but after I saw the layout, they share the parking lot with other businesses and the immediate parking lot has better security in my opinion. Many of the spaces are within view of the front desk and they are well staffed. We stayed a week and Sheila in housekeeping was fabulous. A sweet lady that checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. So if you stay there keep an eye out for her. We stayed there 8 nights with no complaints and were a bit sad after saying goodbye to family and leaving the property. A+”

“The shower door was designed odd that you have to open inward to turn on the water to get it warm which makes your body partially wet . It needs more hanging rods in the bathroom. The microwave and fridge were next to the bathroom.”

“Great stay at the Residence Inn Morgan Hill. The property was very clean and comfortable from the moment I arrived. Daisy at the front desk was friendly, professional and very attentive. I noticed when I arrived that she remotely opened the entrance door for me as I approached. It was a small gesture, but one I appreciated and remembered. She was just as friendly and helpful when I checked out.

My one-bedroom suite was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I really liked the layout, with a separate bedroom, living area and full kitchen. The room also felt clean when I walked in, which is something I really appreciate in a hotel.

The breakfast area was clean and comfortable as well. There were cereals, bagels, English muffins and waffles, along with eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were especially good.

My only minor criticisms are a small ceiling repair in the room where the texture and paint don’t quite match, and I wish Marriott would move away from the traditional bathtub/shower combination in favor of walk-in showers. Neither affected my stay.

Overall, a very clean and comfortable property with friendly service and a good breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.”

“This was not the best place I have stayed in, but sufficient enough. We can park in front of our rooms if somebody did not occupy those spots already. If the office is closed, you can contact the clerk from the outer window by ringing the bell. Unfortunately, there were no soft couch chairs available and I suggest bringing a seat cushion for the hard backrest on the wooden one The room contained the basic needs (refrigerator, microwave, television) and everything appeared to be fully functional (thermostat, hot water). It would help to have a clock and box of napkins available, but I normally use my own anyway. Bring a pair of slippers because they have hardwood floors and your own soap, but keep the samples. The mattress was not soft and I just slept on the bed cover. Ask the clerk for the WiFi password while checking in and request it be written down on a piece of paper because it is not provided. The key card can be tapped on the door like a credit card at self-checkout registers and slipped through a mail slot from outside when leaving, which slides onto the counter for convenience. I am willing to return here if necessary for overnight trips in Morgan Hill or Gilroy with early appointments scheduled the following day.”

“I love this little budget hotel! The people who work here are so nice and helpful. The location is great, right in the middle of Morgan Hill. The rooms are a little dated but they're in the process of renovating them. Just be aware that unless you stay in one of the suites with the kitchenette, you won't have a refrigerator in your room. I will definitely be staying at the Microtel again!”

“During my one-night stay at this hotel, I read the reviews, but they were vastly different from the rooms I encountered. The remodeled and furnished rooms were quite impressive, particularly the bathrooms, which featured glass doors.
The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and courteous.

The hotel is now under new management and ownership, and the improvements have been remarkable.
The location is ideal, situated just across the street from Morgan Hill Soccer Field. Additionally, complimentary parking was available during my children’s soccer game on Sunday evening.”
