“Thao helped us even though I booked the wrong dates TWICE. We were allowed to check in early rather than sitting with our luggage in the lobby. Entire staff is so nice and breakfast was great. Wish we had friendly staff like this in my city! Thank you so much.”

“I recently stayed at the Motel 6 San Jose South for a week on business and absolutely enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and extremely affordable. The hotel was in close proximity to the freeway and there were many wonderful restaurants and shopping centers nearby. I will definitely return during my next visit to the South Bay.”

“Great location near some offices with a few restaurants in the same plaza. Room it clean and parking structure nearby is convenient. No views from the room, which isn't really that important for business trips.”

“Beautiful rooms. Live music through the weekends. It's a beautiful place to stay in the middle of downtownRooms: Rooms are clean with beautiful viewsNearby activities: Right next to it is the San Jose Museum of Arts and also the Tech Museum and beautiful fancy food places to eat. Walk away from San Pedro SquareWalkability: Paid parking which I found better than parking across the street and dealing with constantly having to reload the parking meterFood & drinks: Hotel has a beautiful bar downstairs. A lot of fancy places to eat and drink”

“These pictures were taken the morning after but this hotel was very nice. Great staff and accommodations and actually really good breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here for New Year’s Eve. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable and it felt more like an apartment than a hotel. Oh the view to me was fantastic. Lastly it’s very close to the San Jose airport so that’s a plus.”

“The location was near many cool spots that we could easily walk to. With in 5 to 10minutes of leaving the room was a shell gas station with a convenient store, the famous Falafels drive in, strip clup, dollar tree and a mountain Mike's pizza that is open 24/7.. The Winchester mystery house is about 10 minutes away by car, 7 minutes away from municipal rose garden by car as well.... The only thing that would make this place perfect is if the bathroom had a little shelf, table or cabinet next to the toilet to hold my phone and beer lol.. we will definitely return .Noteworthy details: Being able to control the led lighting would be great. Ours was on a presetting where it flashed all colors and we didnt get to enjoy it.”

Convention parking is next door. $39 per day.Check in:Be sure to digitally check in on the app the day before to select your room. Everything you need in a hotel.Overall, clean, has a nice bar. I wish they offered free continental breakfast. There’s a concession store that sells everything at a high price.”

“Older hotel, but well maintained. A bit off the beaten path, which is great if you're looking for a quiet place; it's hidden in a neighborhood. Room was good size and service was excellent.Room was not ready when I arrived, but other than that, the hotel was great. I would definitely stay there again.”

“Hyatt Place San Jose Airport is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in my life, and I've stayed at quite a few. The room is super cozy and modern - it has a unique layout to it. Showers have a great temperature and easily adjustable to the hot/cold setting at which you desire. Breakfast options are aplenty with sliced fruit, eggs, bagels, cereal, oatmeal and more. The lounge area on the first floor where the bar is very comfortable, and you can order food from the restaurant until 11:30 p.m. I believe. Hotel staff is knowledgeable and present. They have plenty of options at the receptionist desk in case you would like to purchase drinks and snacks. Only cons I would say is the bed can be too soft and the waffles they had for breakfast were stale.”

“I've stayed at many Best Westerns and am still pleasantly surprised by their nice rooms. It's nothing fancy but still above average. Our 2 queen room had comfortable beds, a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and big windows that opened. My sister, the best ever, stopped by with dinner and commented that it's rare to have windows that actually open. Loved the view of the trees from our room up on the 1st floor. (Yes, you go up to the 1st floor). I could hear our neighbor talking at times, but it wasn't annoying enough to subtract a star. Bring earplugs just in case. The coffee maker in the lobby had lots of great options and free almond biscotti. Buffet breakfast was pretty good. Their hashbrowns were too greasy, so my son didn't touch it. Their roasted potatoes were great. Nice variety as usual. The front desk clerk was friendly and easygoing. Not over the top, just genuine. Appreciate that. I'd gladly return and earn more BW rewards points here in the future. I need one more stay for a free night, yay!”

“I recently stayed here, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the rude behavior of the hotel manager. The manager displayed a complete lack of courtesy, ignoring guests and creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. This disappointing encounter has left me with no desire to return to the hotel. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.”

“The lobby is nice but the rooms are bare bones with very few amenities. The windows are not sound blocking and the walls are thin, so if you're easily wakened by trains passing by or chatty neighbors, be warned. Also, you have to ask for your room to be cleaned and even if you do ask they don't always do it.It's OK if you have no other choices but there are far better Marriott options if the area.Oh, and they also charged my personal credit card for the entire stay, not the corporate card the reservation was made with, so on top of a sleep-deprived week now I have to sort out that mess.Walkability: There are no shopping or dining options in walking distance.”

“I stayed here for 3 nights last week, and I enjoyed my stay. The new name for this hotel is the Convention Center Inn and Suites. The staff was accommodating, the location is centrally located, and the free parking was appreciated. I found the courtyard charming and loved the tiger print carpet. The room was clean, the price was affordable, and I would stay here again.”

“The rooms themselves are just like any standard hotel room. The only difference is that when you go out, you don't just come into a hallway and the lobby, but you're immediately in the parking lot, and if you're lucky (whoever comes first, he's also the first to park) right in front of your car.The motel is right on the corner of a large, two-lane main road. Other companies and houses border the fenced-in backyard. There are a few cafes opposite where you can have breakfast.Everything in the room was clean. Only the desk chair was a little worn. The walls are noisy. The toilet flush literally exploded. The head office is not always staffed at the same time, but the staff there was very friendly and helpful. The maids couldn't speak English.”

“Hotels can be hit and miss if you've never been to any particular one but I chose this place for reasonable cost and location to where I needed to be during my stay. Small lobby, friendly staff and nice rooms. My room was clean and had no issues with it. Some people can be very picky but I felt my accommodations were good. They serve a full complimentary breakfast each morning which was pretty good with the usual food options for hot food, waffles, juices, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, etc. The only problem I experienced was the TV is easily heard from the room next to me. Maybe other rooms don't have this issue. The other problem is when people walk down the hall of the second floor it can be loud. Maybe they walked heavy footsteps, I don't know. Overall I would have no problem staying here again if I came to town.Edited to add the area is very quiet and close to shopping and the freeway system.”

“This hotel is very nice. Nice amenities like gym and restaurant/bar, room service. The rooms are equipt with nice soaps and shampoos. In addition, a robe and coffee pot. The location is great. The M club is also very nice. Most importantly the staff is always friendly and helpful. I look forward to my stays here.”

“Great stay, great price. A few things could be done better however those things weren’t a huge issue to my overall satisfaction with our stay. I would definitely stay here again. The location is great. Easy freeway access. We were within a 10 minute drive to Winchester Mystery House, Santana Row, Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, grocery stores and restaurants.Check in and check out was easy. Though there wasn’t always someone at the check in desk. I walked in twice after check in, once to request something for our room and lastly for check out. Those two times no one was at the desk I had to say “Hello?” to alert a staff member that I was there. I think there should be someone at the desk at all times to greet anyone who comes in.The room was great, it was clean and tidy. The closets and bedding were nice. The couch pulled out to a bed. The kitchen was good except the silverware drawer had limited utensils; for a suite that can sleep six there was not enough - 4 big forks, one spoon and 2 or 3 knives. Cookware and dishes were sufficient. I went to the main office to ask for spoons and the receptionist gave me some plastic spoons. Perhaps I should have called housekeeping. The pool was nice, it was warmed enough to feel good on a spring day but not so warm as a bath. It wasn’t a huge pool but big enough for my kids and a couple adults to enjoy. There were towels for drying off after and even some pool noodles and a beach ball to play with. The pool grounds with the mini roses all around was very pretty, there was plenty of seating, and even a bbq.Breakfast was confusing. Throw away plates but reusable bowls. No instructions on where to put the reusable bowls. There was a tiny pitcher of half & half and another pitcher of milk - which ran out quickly. No pancakes or waffles, my kids were disappointed about that. Premade egg bites, sausages with cheese to make a breakfast sandwich, and dry oatmeal to put in a microwave with about 6 different mix-ins. I think the only fruits were bananas and whole apples? I don’t recall. Breakfast could definitely be improved. I’d go out to breakfast or have my own food in my room next time.”

“Hello everyone, I'd like to get straight to the point and share that my fiance and I, like others..made a huge mistake when skipping over this hotel numerous times...We idiotically went with the opinions and experiences of others..RATHER than our own..spending more money..driving far out of our way..all over assumptions..We finally gave it a chance and we immediately found the hotel and room itself exceeded our expectations-by far.Personally, I look for cleanliness, and service. $84 is a price you cannot beat- I'm unsure if people take the time to realize that what they're getting here surpasses the standards of MANY hotels that charge 2 to 3 times the cost..The room is basic and very SOLID. It comes with a desk, lounge chair, TV, Closet, Microwave, Safe, and Bed. Also the bonus of a 12 noon check-out!!!I ALWAYS inspect the sheets/beds at ANY hotel-They were COMPLETELY CLEAN..Let's be honest- Many people are prone to look at the area Surestay is in, the price and the reviews- Based on that, we compare and assume what it's going to be. It is a real slap of reality when you see first hand that you are wrong. A BRAND alone doesn't make a hotel what it is- The STAFF does. The staff- from the manager to the front desk, to the maids are all part of what makes this location what it is- They're all very very nice and accommodating.Yes the parking becomes full, but that isn't the staffs fault. It is out of anyone's control isn't it? There is parking downstairs- It is not far at all. It's a close distance to your room no matter where it is.Secondly, it is not odd at all that Surestay is next to Holiday Inn. In this particular area there aren't many hotels at all. They are built and located differently than in other areas of San Jose. Also, and most importantly-I'm POSITIVE the closeness of the buildings have absolutely NO BEARING on your stay whatsoever. As a matter of fact, the Holiday Inn is brand new and Surestay has an equal rating. Bottom line, when you need a place to lay your head, Surestay offers solid rooms at a fantastic price. The rooms are clean and it is located with easy access to tons of restaurants, as well as grocery stores, gas stations, and a laundromat. They also offer the lowest prices directly on their site along with $50 off when you register and stay two consecutive days or two nights regardless. My only only only upset was being woken up hours before my alarm. I came to the hotel to get a break away from everything going on in my life. I was running on little sleep and was set to wake up hoping to have a regular full night of rest. The staff knocked on the door several times until it woke me and then walked in. Im assuming they didnt hear me say "please not right now I'm sleeping". I wasn't feeling well was unable to go back to sleep. The 2nd morning the same thing. This sounds dramatic but I just about cried over the fact that I was so desperate to get rest. This time they did not walk in. They merely asked if I was staying a second night..But again..I was unable to go back to sleep and had to checkout. Both times were around 8-10am approx. I was and still am confused as check out is 12. I've never heard of anything like that nor have I ever had that happen. When I wasnt feeling well they were kind enough to bring me a new key so I didnt have to go to the front desk which was very sweet. That would be the only thing I would change. If it is common practice to check in with guests, I'd notate that on the itinerary.I wish I remembered all of their names!! But thank you everyone for being so kind and offering such a nice stay!!!GIVE SURESTAY A TRY!!!!!! DONT HESITATE OVER THE COMPLAINTS OF OTHERS!!! REMEMBER YOUR ATTITUDE REFLECTS THE WAY YOU ARE TREATED IN RETURN!! SOME THINGS ARE OUT OF THE STAFFS CONTROL! FOR $84 YOU GET AN EXCELLENT ROOM! BE GRATEFUL !!Rooms: Great value, solid and CleanNearby activities: Central to many things around you like downtown, willowGlen, south san jose,Walkability: 5 minute walk to a ”

“Such a pleasant stay here. Loved that it's just a 10 min drive from the airport and easy walking or driving distance to spots around Downtown San Jose. It's also conveniently right off the freeway. The staff were all great and helpful. I have to say this is the first time I haven't encountered rude hotel staff. If you book through the Marriott Bonvoy it has everything at your hands; mobile room key - so skip checking in at the front desk and you can easily request towels or ask for house keeping and they have a chat for any questions you may have! I stayed in the guest room with 1 king bed. I found the layout to be great but is small in the sense you don't have much space. But it was just me so I didn't have an issue. The room also came with a desk attached to the wall, a big chair where you can sit back and relax. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were great! Not stiff. We all know that hotel pillows aren't the best. LOVED the safety features they have on the door. It comes with a metal doorstop at the top you just flip open and comes with an extra lock you can use. Made me feel safe as a solo traveler! Now I will say the only thing I did find inconvenient was the parking. As with all hotels around the area you have to pay for parking daily. Here is $35/day and you can only park on the 3rd and 4th floor which isn't the best when you have luggage. BUT they have the scooters at times right next the hotel and down the street the have bikes to pay for. If you won't be driving far in San Jose save some money and ride them. It's right next to the hotel and is shared with other businesses. They have a parking that's adjacent to them that I believe is cheaper but I didn't really want to lug my suitcases across the street. But overall great stay! Would 100% recommend and stay here again.”

“Front office was very friendly, the first thing I noticed coming into my room was the scent, the scent of fresh cleanliness. After inspecting my roomI'm happy to say my room was VERY clean! We got a room next to the highway but we cannot hear a thing. I highly recommend this place. I love the fact that target is just down the street!!”
