The rooms are large, clean, and well-designed, with plenty of space to settle in. Whether you are traveling for business, family, or an extended stay, the setup is very convenient.

The highlight of the experience was the front desk team. Enrique and Jennifer were absolutely phenomenal. They were professional, welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Their customer service made a great stay even better.

“Fantastic stay at this resort, quiet and far away but still close to everything down the street. The room is ample for one person or couple even a third, the amenities are great and the property is big. The big surprise was how large the breakfast spread was and it was included in your hotel stay. Will definitely come again next year when I visit the bay. Also parking is abundant and included!”

“Great location with a view of the Guadalupe River estuary from room 301, which is the most northern end, far from the high voltage transmission lines at the front of the complex southern side. Very nice staff, like Nicole at front desk and Favi in the lobby. She was gracious enough to alert the manager Juan about the large kitchen trash bag of refuse that I had collected from the bike path and parking area in the back, along the northern side of complex. Apparently, the manager has a maintenance staff member patrol only once per day, while misc public seem to use the back parking lot for fishing access to the estuary, leaving mounds of discarded food packages, beer cans, and fishing bait wrappers everywhere in parking lot and along path. If they would monitor and ticket those who don't have a parking permit, then perhaps the grounds would be in nicer condition. Other than that, the pool/hot tub area with basketball/pickle ball court and putting green was very nice! Also, there were games laid out, like Yatzee, in the fire pit area. Our 1-bedroom King suite was very well-stocked in the kitchen and had a spacious bathroom that was separated from the bedroom, so that a guest could use the sofa bed in the living room and still access the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was nice on Saturday, but on Sunday it was very impacted and they ran out of some items. I enjoyed the scrambled eggs, turkey sausages, fresh waffles, fruits, juices, coffee, and home fried potatoes. Also, there were various cereals, milks, cheeses, and breads to choose from, but I didn't eat those. For $185/night(tax incl) on the weekend, it was a lil pricey for the area, but it was nice to have a separate bedroom and a full kitchen at Residence Inn.”

“Good location! Central for our needs and access to multiple thoroughfares in the greater San Jose area. Restaurants within walking distance if needed. Staff was helpful for parking and navigating the area. You will need to ring the buzzer after 10PM when checking in and parking is in the parking garage behind the hotel. Breakfast was fresh and hot, and there was an omelet station! Would visit again. There is a bar in the hotel but it was closed for the holiday. Bathroom was clean. Guestroom had a moderate smell - found it was a scent plug-in left from a previous guest left in the wall. After we unplugged, the smell was not an issue.”

“After another company flaked on me, I needed a second opinion and decided to try them out. They actually answered the phone right away, which was a relief. Set up an appointment and they came through without any hassle. Got the job done well and everything was finished on time. Nice to see some solid follow-through around here in San Jose when others didn’t deliver. No complaints at all from my end.”

“The Hayes Mansion was an awesome and beautiful venue for my 80th Birthday Celebration. We booked the Willow Glen Room for the dinner and party which included an outdoor space on the veranda and lawn area. The reception was held on the lawn area. The tables were set up with some umbrellas and high top tables. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres were provided. We had our own bar with Fabian as our dedicated barkeeper. He was excellent in providing service for all. The reception area was a favorite for the family for a meet and greet. Some of the family had not seen each other in years. The children enjoyed hanging out as the hotel provided some games for them to play on the lawn. We were fortunate to have beautiful sunny warm weather which is fairly typical for August.
The dinner was held inside the Willow Glen Room. The private room had a feeling of a lovely home with a fireplace mantel and big bay windows. The catering (food and beverages) was provided by the hotel; however, they allowed us to bring our own champagne. The catering menu was about 17 (!) pages to select from and we decided to choose hors d'oeuvres and a custom dinner buffet. Vegan and gluten free plates were provided. A children’s menu was an option too. The servers were attentive, friendly and efficient to our requests. The food was all really delicious and plentiful. We were also allowed to bring our own Birthday Cake!!

We had the pleasure to work with Susan Richard-Arrighi, the hotel's catering sales manager, who guided us through the process of planning the event. She was very attentive to our needs and flexible when we asked for changes. Susan was very professional and friendly. All-in-all, due to her, organizing the event became a much easier effort. Thank you Susan!!”

“Very very good. Stayed for a week for attending NVIDIA GTC location is close by with ease of access to the highway. Rooms, specially the beds are very comfortable and spacious and the front desk personnel were very kind and helpful. Recommended.”

“This is a great little Best Western property. Wonderful staff, and a fantastic hot breakfast are highlights. The rooms are nicely appointed with microwave, mini fridge, and large TVs. The beds are very firm, more than I'm used to, and I had trouble sleeping on them. The location is super convenient: 10 minute bus ride to downtown SJ on the 22 (which comes every 15 minutes) and walking distance from the Santa Clara caltrain station. I also enjoyed walking to Voyager coffee and the other restaurants down the street.”

“I had an awesome experience at the Aloft San Jose Cupertino Hotel this past weekend.

From the moment I made my booking to the moment I checked out, I was really impressed with the kind and patient customer service. Ria from the front desk and on the phones was exceptional, and she helped me with an early check-in after I called in the morning before my booking.

The room was clean and spacious. The cool orange-infused ice water in the lobby was clutch after I had a softball practice end an hour before I checked in for the hotel.

Location is prime as this spot is right off of the 280 freeway and close to some convenient dining options.

Parking is ample, but shared with other businesses, so my recommendation is to grab a spot as close to the hotel as possible. Parking is an area this hotel or the nearby businesses could investigate as an area for improvement with a new and improved parking lot (there is enough space for that to be developed, potentially.)

“If you are in the mood for an old school Motel experience, this is the place.

I was initially attracted to the retro design and architecture of the building. Neon, slightly gaudy colors, and a cool sign intrigued me. The room doors are Flamingo pink and accented with blue neon. A huge plus for me was that this was clearly a locally owned, non-chain operation, and after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try.

There seemed to be just enough parking, a bit tight but doable for sure. The front desk staff was helpful, not overly friendly, but efficient.

I didn’t expect the most modern and up to date interior, and I wasn’t disappointed. Everything is dated, but as I said, I expected that. The room was clean, well made up, and stocked with coffee, soap, shampoo, and even an iron and full sized ironing board. The bed was comfortable, but could have used a fourth pillow. The pillows were a bit flat and all of the same type.

The only issue I had was that my room faced The Alameda, and there was some street noise, but I always sleep with earplugs and that took care of it. I would suggest that if you are sound sensitive, request a reset or interior room.

Would I stay here again? For sure, it is like stepping back to the 50’s and the heyday of motels.”

“We stayed in a Specialty One Bedroom Two Queen Suite. The location is very good and close to many business parks and within short driving distance to restaurants and stores. It felt pretty safe. In one direction there are nicer business parks but in the other direction there are some slightly questionable areas.

The suite is spacious. It has a large mirror and coat hooks in the living room close to the main door. They have Google Chromecast available for streaming. It's fairly simple to set up but awkward when trying to pause a show or surf YouTube. Glad they have this option for streaming, though! There are lots of drawers and hangers for putting clothes away. The beds are comfortable and there's a full kitchen with a spacious bar where you can charge devices, eat, work, store items, etc.

The cons are that parking is expensive at $25.50/night ($24 plus $1.50 service charge). The lighting in the bedroom is very dim at the end of the room. I kept items in the dresser and on the vanity countertop and had to struggle to see when grabbing them or putting them away. There's no mirror in the bedroom so you always have to go to the living room or bathroom to do makeup, etc. The bathroom has limited counter space and no drawers or shelves. The shower doesn't have enough room to store items either, but I used the bigger plastic tray from the bathroom sink and put it on top of the metal towel rack in the shower to make a place for my toiletries and this worked well. The dishwasher is nice to have but very loud. We only had one TV remote even though the suite has two TVs (we could have requested the second one, but decided not to hassle with it). I couldn't set up our Fire TV stick in the living room because I didn't have a cord long enough to connect it to the back of the TV and to the power (i.e., the outlet is on the opposite side of the TV). The hotel is on the light rail line so you occasionally hear dinging, but it's not too bad.

Overall, the customer service is great at this hotel and the suite met our needs. The hotel room rate is very reasonable, too. We recommend this place.”

“Stayed at the hotel at the start of our holiday, just after our flight, so we could rest before travelling the next day.
The Hotel appears new and rooms were clean and spacious.
The Hotel is very well designed and furnished.
We only stayed on night but the breakfast in the morning was substantial and a big thankyou for the chef, who helped my wife with the waffle maker and provided us with an eggs benedict surprise, which was very tasty.
I notice there are a lot of complaints about parking. I'm wondering if they're reviewing the right hotel.

“Check-in took no time at all fast, smooth, and handled by staff who were genuinely friendly while staying professional. The room was spotless and surprisingly quiet, breakfast was fresh and filling, and the peaceful street outside meant we slept straight through. “Overall it's nice enough and clean. They only clean your room every other day which is fine but I would've preferred every day. It looks like they used to have a business center and spa but don't anymore. Pool is heated. Breakfast has dairy free options including smart balance (butter alternative) which is nice. The overnight oats and chia pudding is made with oatmilk but you have to request it to have oatmilk for cereal or tea.”

“Other then homeless and light rail and a dirty 7-11 within a block away this Holiday inn is one of the best, the staff are very nice and if there is a little problem it's fixed within minutes and they have security outside after 11 pm and rooms are very very clean I loved my stay.”

“If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay in San Jose that has access to a train line to downtown a short walk away, this is it. The pool and hot tub area looks nice (it was too cold to use when I was there), but when I was there, much of the gym equipment was broken. Rooms are nothing special, but they're clean and not bad. A free Lyft to the airport was a nice touch. If you're staying here, you're doing it for the price, and it's a decent deal for the money, relatively speaking.”
