Last week I was in line when I witnessed an irate customer unfairly chastised Ms. Begin for what the customer perceived as an "inane" banking policy. He yelped that he was a businessman, that he would never run his business as you run ours, as though Ms. Begin was management, responsible for setting policy. What stood out was Ms. Begin's professionalism throughout. She was not critical. At the same time, I was becoming uncomfortable with the customer's attack. Ms. Begin should be recognized for her restraint and for calming the storm. He eventually left muttering. If I were the clerk, I doubt if I would have had the strength not to return the vitriol. She's a keeper!”
