Hotel Avisa is a mid-level hotel located in an excellent location, with a short walk to the waterfront, shops, and other attractions. The staff is consistently described as friendly, helpful, and professional, providing excellent customer service. The rooms at Hotel Avisa are generally clean and spacious, with some offering balconies and ocean views. Many guests have noted that the hotel appears to have been recently renovated, creating a nice and clean property. The rooms are equipped with a small fridge, and the beds are reported to be comfortable. However, some guests have experienced issues with the air conditioning, which seems to only run at full blast or not at all, and is quite loud, making it difficult to sleep. Additionally, the shower curtain does not effectively contain water, leading to flooding in the bathroom. The television also proved challenging to operate, with no accessible channel guide or TV guide. While the majority of guests have had a positive experience, a few have noted some minor issues with the quality of the drywall work and the overall cleanliness of the rooms. Despite these occasional drawbacks, most guests have found Hotel Avisa to be a decent place to stay, especially for shorter trips.
Nice room one short block from the harbor Walk. Beautiful view from the third floor of Morro Rock and harbor. Seals are far away but you'll still hear them!

We stayed for one night in a twin room. The room was spacious and quite clean, though we did find some stray hairs in the bathroom. Breakfast was not included, and parking was a bit difficult.
