“I shop Ava's as much as possible since I can walk there and I am so grateful to have a downtown market. They have specialty items like grass fed meats (grass fed lamb is locally raised as opposed to imported from Australia like at Whole Foods), raw milk , goat ice cream. Juan will do what he can to stock specific items that I need. There are two restaurants inside the store.”

“A very small farmers' market compared to others in the area (e.g. Sunnyvale), but it's got a bit of everything that others have. You won't have as many different farmers to choose from for your produce, but the quality is good. The hot food selection rivals other larger markets, with some unique options like the excellent Neapolitan pizza at Pane e Pomodoro.”

“One of my favorite farmer's markets around! Lots of great produce. Pricey but worth it if you really want tasty organic food. Some vendors take venmo but most of them are cash, so bring cash! You can usually find parking in the lots or streets.”

“If you want fresh vegetables and cheap prices, go here. Also, they have a selection of unique and carefully selected imported products, so in some ways it may be more cost-effective than buying at a place like Whole Foods.”

“One if the best neighborhood grocery store- it is the second store under same management after their first one (homestead and foothill junction in Los Altos) got so popular. Fresh vegetables and reasonable price. Their refrigeration system is not as high tech as big grocery stores and hence they must sell fresh or throw away. Most of their crews are good but sometimes they forget to place the items in the bag (because they are busy). I recommend them highly”

“The unique display method places stalls on both sides of the outdoor aisle to sell all kinds of fresh fruits. Not only does it have a wide variety, but the price is more affordable than other supermarkets. However, this kind of display seems to be difficult to see in other large and small supermarkets.
One time I shopped here and found out I was overcharged after I got home. I turned back and asked for a refund. The store didn't ignore us because of our lack of language skills. They were very patient and worked hard to understand our request. Later, they checked the cashier and monitored it. If you confirm that there is an overcharged amount, you will be refunded immediately. During the process, the attitude was good and prompt. When I discovered a mistake in my own cashier's service, I carefully explained the cause of the error and apologized repeatedly. Very satisfied with the whole process.
By the way, a handsome young man at the butcher stall in the store had a very good service attitude. He patiently waited for us to look up the translation in the dictionary and tried to understand our meaning and needs. Very satisfied with his patience and enthusiasm.”
