The United States Postal Service at 211 Hope St is a reliable and essential part of mail delivery in the community, serving over 157 million addresses across the country. It offers convenient walk-in passport services and manages a vast network of over 30,000 retail locations, delivering 47 percent of the world’s mail. The staff is generally knowledgeable and helpful, often going beyond expectations to assist customers with issues such as lost or misdelivered packages. For example, some customers appreciated staff members who tracked down missing packages and kept them updated through follow-ups. Many reviews highlight friendly staff who are willing to help, even when problems arise. However, the location operates only as a retail window, not a delivery hub, which can cause delays if delivery attempts fail. Customers have experienced longer wait times, especially during busy periods like tax season, due to staffing shortages. This is partly attributed to broader issues within USPS, such as layoffs and hiring of inexperienced temporary workers, which have led to slower mail delivery and lost mail. Despite these challenges, the staff continues to provide good service and tries to assist customers whenever possible, demonstrating their commitment to the community.
This has been the worst post office I’ve ever been to by far. The service attitude, the pace of service, and the way they treat your packages. I had just paid to ship my boxes and the person who helped me THREW them already behind the counter. You’re better off trying the one in Palo Alto.

Went there for my newborn's passport; friendly staff. They helped me with the application process and it was pretty easy and quick.
