“I had an old Crane spout (1940's) with diverter that leaked. None of today's spout could have worked as replacement. After some research, I found the Crane tub spout adapter DEA machinery makes!! Customer service was outstanding. Lydia answered all of my questions patiently. The very well made adapter arrived less than a week later with the spout that comes with it as an option. Both could not have been easier to install. Just screw on the adapter onto the original wall piece, and voilà! The alternative, according to a couple of plumbers, would have involved tearing down tile and wall...”
