Hardware Stores
“I shop regularly at Tractor Supply in Angels Camp, California. I have never found them to be unfriendly, either as a crew, or as individual helpers and counter attendants. Whoever is at the cash registers by the front entrance, habitually smiles and welcome to into the store, and all the way up to the manager, everybody is smiling and inquisitive whenever they need to help you out. As prices or availability.”
“Amazing Ace hardware! Have pretty much everything you need. Was doing a project on the water line coming from the well to the house. Was missing one specific part 15 min before closing so rushed over there. Jeff was awesome and let me take my time at closing time so I could get home and get water on before my wife would have to wait until tomorrow for water.”
“The inside is way bigger than it looks. They had the cutest whimsical decor, some rustic, some more modern. The larger wooden pieces are VERY well priced, low hundreds for well made new/vintage pieces. The outdoor garden is also surprisingly extensive! Had everything from rare/exotic houseplants to huge common native outdoor plants. Could definitely spend hours in here, happily. Staff is helpful and friendly but not overly invasive which is always nice”
“What an amazing little store, hardware, groceries, top shelf adult beverages,a butcher counter on top of its game( the chipotle marinated chicken wings are wicked good) and staff that know a thing or two about customer service, this is way it's supposed to be, friendly, engaging and knowledgeable describes the entire staff at this little gem.Thank you and kudos to y'all at Sender's Market and Ace Hardware,it's a genuine pleasure doing business with you!!?”
“Ron and his glass crew took care of all of our glass needs at a reasonable price. We had 2 broken windows and a seal that needed to be replaced and they did it in a timely manner. They were careful and courteous when at our home. Couldn't ask for more.”
“My mother has owned a place in Avery for the last decade. I come up from the valley to fix stuff/do yard work.... can get it cheaper but less help. This last week reminded me of the Calavares community. 4ft of snow, had pipes burst, went into Ace this last Sunday was able to get a snow shovel, the pipe pieces and some love. Powers been out since Tuesday and the Ace hardware crew is ready to help with flashlights. Felt at home seeing the same kid behind the counter with the power out like a normal day in Arnold. Been told 100 people were rescued this 26' Feb Storm from their homes.”
“I was expecting just a typical small town general store, but this place actually has a pretty good selection for being in the middle of nowhere. The prices are fair, not gouging you just becuase you dont have other options nearby. The folks running it are friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference when you’re just passing through.
I grabbed some snacks and a cold drink and everything was fresh. Only thing that would be better is if they had a few more fresh fruit options, but there’s a farmer’s market sporadically down the road so it makes sense. It’s definately worth stopping by if you need anything on your way through the valley.”
