MnM cookie 10/10. Everything tastes home made, and made with love. Juice 9/10 sweet but maybe that’s just because I have feasted on all these pastries. Thanks a heap

Gold Country Roasters
78 Scott St, MurphysWife and I decided to drive two and a half hours to have coffee here and tour the area and were not disappointed. Murphys is a cute place and the surrounding areas are so pretty. The lakes and mountains nearby are beautiful. The drive was also pretty this time of year.
Now to the good stuff, the coffee! Gold Country is in a nice part of Murphys and walking in it has a warm feeling. Light colors and then you're greeted by the three friendly staff members. The coffee was great. Its flavorful and was the star of my mocha. Nothing worse than an overly sweet drink. And Gold Country didn't disappoint.
Thanks for a great cup of joe. And for getting us out of the house.

402 Main St, MurphysUltra nice restaurant with both indoor and outdoor options. Some evenings they will even have live music but this is the best place to go to detox from some wine tasting. The bar staff owner or spectacular and very flexible and the portions are good. This is not an obnoxious wine crowd but a mix of tourists and locals. Located just off of the Main Street in Murphy's California there are many other options for shopping and other things after eating.

French dip sandwich was on point, chicken sandwich had a special sauce on it the sauce looked purple maybe made with purple sweet potato?? was awsome?. My mom said its a new place well at least to them because they go to Murphys every year ?!

Doke Sushi
403 Main St #9628, MurphysOverall we had a great experience at Doke Sushi largely because the food was sooo good. We are vegetarians and have limited options in Murphys but I noticed some veggie sushi rolls listed on the menu and some curries/noodle dishes so decided to try it.
Some things to note, highly encourage reservation ahead of time. We got there an hour before closing on a Sunday and even though there was a table open they almost didn't seat us. It is small on the inside with limited tables so I would not say it's great for groups.
They stop serving about 30 minutes before the posted closing time and don't make exceptions.
We ended up ordering a Jenni role which had tofu/cream cheese/cucumber inside and avocado/panko/doke sauce outside and it was seriously amazing. Although there were only two veggie roll options on the menu I could easily eat two of this roll alone.
Things only got better with the curry. I assumed the curry was going to be Japanese style, but they are actually more thai style yellow and panang curry options. Unfortunately the Udon and Ramen dishes are not vegetarian as they are made with fish broth. But the yellow curry was perhaps the best yellow curry we've ever had (and we are a bit of curry snobs). The sauce was lighter than a traditional thai yellow curry and it had a delicious sweet finish. The veggies were tasty and fresh. When we come back to Murphys I will certainly be going for this curry again.
I do wish they had a few more vegetarian options, but very glad the ones they do are outstanding.

Murphys Hwy 4 Diner
55 CA-4, MurphysThey had a limited breakfasg menu as the power was out the night before. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Will have to stop by again next time through the area.
