Sierra Veterinary Care
708 Mono Way, SonoraI became a patient at Sierra Vet back in 2018ish. I was previously with another vet in the area - and they failed my dog and caused his kidney failure, this information was provided to me when he was lethargic and I was instructed to take him to Sierra Vet because my vets couldn't get him in. The vet showed me the surgical records and the blood work taken when I brought him in and where the medication interactions were, they did all they could but my little dude didn't make it.
When I got new pets I brought them to Sierra Vet for their needs. My husky was their next patient and when she had sudden eye issues they got her in right away and provided the best care, she ended up with an enucliation of the right eye. For the past 5 years they have done preventative care on her remaining eye as well as referring her to a specialist. She has beat most odds and kept her eye much longer than most with her condition.
Unfortunately she presented eye problems Monday and they got her in asap. They treat her well and even though vets stress her out. She does well with the staff when we have to do a drop off appointment. We take all our pets there now. I fully reccomend them for any of your Vet needs.

I brought in a neighborhood cat to have his chip checked durning the winter, I thought he was homeless. The staff were so helpful and understanding with a random walk-in that I chose to make Sonora Veterinary Group my primary vet! My decision was reinforced at my first vist with how swiftly, professionally, and compassionatly they handled an emergency(not an emergency vet) that burst through the doors.

Live Oak Veterinary Hospital
14729 Mono Way, SonoraI needed to board our small dog for our daughter’s wedding out of state. My current vet refused. Live Oak was professional and offered to make me a client. They were very organized. Vet took time with dog, staff is friendly and the office very clean. Our dog is a bit anxious Eric was great at taking his time and I’m definitely recommend.

We ate on the patio and out puppy was able to hang out there too. It's a fantastic patio with corn hole and cute signs.

Only downside is lately they aren’t actually open the hours they have listed. I have come by a few times recently at 11am-1pm and they are closed. Dunno whats up with that, they have a Help Wanted sign up for a cashier so maybe something to do with that. But when they are open the food is fresh and satisfyingly delicious.

The rancher breakfast burrito was very flavorful and good, just know the filling is premade. Hot on the outside but cool on the inside which made the potatoes taste dry. Other than that it was delicious. You need the side salsa fyi. I'll be back! Thank you kindly!
