The Hampton Inn & Suites Napa offers very good value with rates that are great compared to other lodges in the area. The hotel provides spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated rooms, some of which are huge like a studio apartment. While some rooms are a bit tired, others have been recently renovated. Amenities include a pretty nice, albeit small, gym, a pool and spa, and a complimentary breakfast with offerings like waffles, eggs, sausage, and pastries. There is also a complimentary coffee and tea bar. The service receives mixed feedback. Many guests found the staff to be excellent, professional, accommodating, and the nicest ever. However, some experiences were average, with the place seeming understaffed during busy periods like breakfast, and front desk staff occasionally seeming bothered when assistance was needed. Check-in can sometimes be challenging, with instances of long waits due to system issues or early arrival policies. The location is convenient, situated close to downtown Napa and near a strip mall with a movie theater, shopping, and recommended eateries. It is a pretty good location, not far from the wine train and Silverado Trail, though it is not in the heart of the vineyards. The area is okay but can feel poorly lit and less safe at night with unhoused people nearby. Overall, it is a good option for those on a budget, offering excellent value. Despite some inconveniences, most guests would stay again, considering it almost great and a place they would return to for a future visit.
So disappointed that I didn’t look at their website closer before booking. Do not arrive early to check in. I got to the hotel just before 3pm and have to wait until 4 to check in. This after I watch two other people check in without a problem. Hopefully we can still make our early dinner reservation at 4:45.
