“I have used this dealership for over 30 years. I appreciate the excellent service & staff so I was very dissatisfied with my last visit on 8/2/24. When my vehicle was done I noticed the driver side window sun shade was on the dash. The passenger shade was missing the suction cups. The window had been rolled down, the shade inserted & rolled back up. This is how the shade was holding! I was very upset and notified the service technician. They searched the car for the missing suction cups, brought out the mechanic, another service advisor then the manager. After talking in circles manager Arturo Jaimes tells me to go buy the suction cups, bring him back the receipt & he would reimburse me. Why should “I” have to “fix” their lack of care for my personal property. The lack of accountability from this manager was upsetting.
Finally, my service advisor Henry Samaniego came out & took the time to really listen to me. He had checked the video they took of the vehicle upon arrival & confirmed the sun shades properly installed on my windows at drop off. I gave him the Amazon link to replace my recent purchase. He went above and beyond to make it right. He replaced the sun shade’s & notified me when they arrived. THANK YOU Henry Samaniego for your patience, professionalism in your ability to resolve such a minor issue.”

“Probably not a review that Ray is expecting, but one that feels necessary. I purchased 2 vehicles from Ray over 10 years ago now. The first in 2009 and the second in 2012 (which he had to repossess after just a few months due to late payment). Truth be told, I really shouldn't have been offered the second car due to where I was in life. But that's just the type of person Ray is.

He looked at a young father with a need to get to work and the tentative ability to pay and he extended himself to help me. Despite there being a number of times where he waited weeks for payment from us during my previous car that my then ex wife and I had purchased through him directly, he let me build up a downpayment with him, stopping by weekly to add to it, until I was finally able to drive it off the lot. In dealing with my dodging his calls after all of this, he was patient and level headed.

Our relationship ended at the point which he had to take it back, but even in that action and the conversation that came from it, he left me with life long lessons in mutual trust, compassion within logical limits and the type of positive impacts that a benevolent man in a position to help others can achieve.

It took me quite a long time to admit to myself I was the problem in our interaction, and in where I found myself in life at the time. But even through gritted teeth, I so deeply appreciated his generosity and eventual steadfastness that I consciously modeled myself to emulate those values in my own career.

Even in a city with decent public transportation like San Diego, people need cars to get to work; good cars dealt by honest people. I'm very lucky to have found Ray when I could have ended up (and later DID, so I speak from experience) at the bigger lot next to his and dealt with nothing but CROOKS.
