“Beautiful and fascinating people import shop with a friendly staff and casual charm. Mostly textiles (clothing, scarves, wall hangings), jewelry, accessories, and a few other things such as zafu (cushions for sitting zazen), incense, etc. For what you actually get, the prices are reasonable.”
“The whole vibe of the shop is so welcoming & friendly- plus they are always playing the best music & they’re dog friendly! My pup loves it when we stop by for one of their little heart shaped treats. I could spend all day shopping and chatting it up with Ellie or whoever else is working the shop that day. Every encounter is genuine, down to earth & uplifting. They know their products and are great at putting together gift bundles. Beautifully curated- and so fun that there’s 2 stories to explore. “I read the reviews while I waited for this store to open today. Because of these reviews I anticipated an awkward or uncomfortable interaction. Instead, I found that being kind was reciprocated with kindness. Instead, I felt empathy towards the shop owner / worker.
There are numerous signs around the shop calling for no photos & no food or drink. It makes sense that she would want her own store rules to be enforced. Also, Mary Mary (quite contrary) is literally the name of the store.
It is a darling store with sweet cards, garden decor misc., and whimsy curated baby items. I recommend you to shop local and show her kindness. You never know what people are going through.”
