I've been going here for several years for different types of vehicles (old, new, 4WD, conversion van) and have nothing but great things to say. Spencer at the front desk is patient in explaining all things car-related to me (as I barely understand how to check my oil) and very honest in saying when a job it's not worth doing. Competitive prices and they won't charge you for extra stuff that the car doesn't actually needed.

“Bill is a seasoned engineer. Knowledgeable, interesting, thorough and trustworthy. A true Mensch. He pretty much rebuilt the 30 year old AC system in my van after the old system (with the old ozone eating refrigerant) blew up.
I'm 66 years old and can count on one hand the times someone else other than myself worked on my vehicle. However, I have never done AC systems. There was no question of his ability and integrity.
His estimate was quite reasonable and I was informed on any overrun ( hoses had to be fabricated by a different skilled tradesman).
It's just nice to have someone of his caliber solving the problems.

“We are long time residents (in our 80's) of Placer/Nevada Counties who rarely have the opportuninty to write a good review (so sad).It had been a long hot day and we were exhausted and on our way home to Auburn from Grass Valley when the radiator blew on our Hummer. We were able to limp it into Ray's what a blessing this was. We have not had this great customer service since early 2000 (so sad). Everyone was friendly, curteous and respectful. After making several phone calls to get a ride home they offered to get us home and they were going to work late so we could get our vehicle back for the weekend.The next day being a Saturday they delivered our vehicle to us, wow! They went over and above our expectations and for that we are forever greatful. Ray's is a full service shop and although a little further to drive we will be taking our vehicles to Ray's, we hope you will too.”

“The guy's a gold country express always do a solid job. They're friendly helpful. Their prices are more than reasonable. And they get you in and out, without any harassment or hassle, like some of the other places do I take all my vehicles there. Every single time I've been super satisfied and they always put 80 pounds of air in my tires, like I ask, something that would seem super easy but at other places, it's like pulling teeth. I love these guys. I tell everybody I know if you're just looking to get your oil changed with no bs. Take it to them. They'll take good care of you.”
