Came for a class hosted by their executive chef angel. Could not recommend take a class from him enough. We learned how to make beef Wellington. He made a very daunting dish very easy with a lot of great tips general cooking tips. I had even asked him about an accompanying sauce after the class and after the class he just whipped out the ingredients and made it right in front of me! Great class and easy to find store. Highly recommend. Quite a few regulars said they enjoyed this location as well!

Signed up for a south American cooking class at this location. Luis the chef was super welcoming and knowledgeable, as well as the rest of the attentive and helpful staff. We made delicious cheese pupusas, and marinated steak with chimichurri sauce. The only minor annoyance during the entire experience is we didn't get to sit down and really enjoy our cooking. It felt quite rushed at the end to finish the meal and dessert. Overall it was a fun evening with a lively group.

Sur la table is definitely going downhill. It's not how it used to be when the place was overfilling with goodies like a candy store. I used to want buy everything there. Now nothing appeals to me.That's not the major problem tho. The customer service is dreadful. Mitchell is very self righteous and acts like a know-it-all. When I asked him to scan the coupon code I had, he refused because he said it doesn't work. When he begrudgingly did, it went through. Instead of saying, oh wow glad we tried it, he looked upset that he was wrong! What a sour man. And Tina, is such an unaccommodating manager ! Not helpful at all.

I use to love this place but they have the worst customer service. (Newport Beach location is consistently the worse). I was going to spend a really good amount of money for 3 really nice gifts. The entire time I was there not one greeting. There's so many other stores that you can shop upscale and get much better service and selections, try William Sonoma. The selection has really gone down hill. Such a disappointment.

I Love this Sur La Table location! The employees are very friendly, knowledgeable about their products and always more than happy to go out if their way for their customers!

The people are great but you'd better hold on to all your receipts! I bought hundreds of dollars there between the end of Nov. through Christmas and one of the sent $500 items was never delivered. So far I am in a loop of blame from one entity to another. and me out $500.

Today my friends and I took the Buche de Noel baking class. We were a little disappointed. They didn't seem to be very organized and didn't have enough mixers for everyone. Also, there didn't seem to be much guidance for these difficult Yule logs. For the $89 fee, I expected more. They didn't even have boxes to transport our finished logs to our homes. The cellophane we were given messed up the frosting so by the time they got home, they weren't presentable for guests like I had intended.

This is for the cooking class. What a great experience. We had a scheduling mix up so we had to bring our 6 month daughter and they were so accommodating and understanding. Loved that! The chef was so kind and patient. We were set to make dim sum and our skills were definitely lacking. She showed us the way! We made Har Gow, Shu Mai, Gai Lan, and Egg tarts. It was so interactive and fun.... Not to mention delicious! I walked in hungry and left super full. Highly recommend for the family and friends.

My wife and I took a pastry class and had a great time. We had a bunch of nice people there and got to bring home some pastries as well. We are going to take more classes very soon.

This is a review for the cooking class. Overall, still had fun in the class but not worth the money especially as a birthday gift. They canceled the class a day before and then called back saying that it was going to be resumed. The dishes were not accurate to the description. Out of the four dishes that were said to be done in the class, we only learned to do two while the chefs made the other two. Two of the dishes were not accurate either, they couldn't find the correct wrapper for Har Gow (the class was added to the calendar for over a month) and used the incorrect broccoli as well. After making the meals, they mixed up the ones that we made with other customers'. Didn't find the chefs to be that kind either.
