“Came here with my parents and their food is really good. I had no idea they had a little hot food stand inside this market. I had the chilaquilles with salsa verde and they were made to order to perfection. (See picture for reference) Note: The grocery part of the market is a bit pricey but the restaurant part is priced well.”

“An interesting store with products from Poland, Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, possibly other countries. The assortment is quite large. You can find there: various cereals, rolls, teas, coffee, cookies, dried goods, waffles, candies (for Easter there were even Easter cakes), cakes, milk (sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, cheeses and curd cheeses), there are frozen pancakes and dumplings , sausages, fish (mackerel, herring, etc.), caviar (red, black), cooking (salads, soups, borscht) and much more. There is also a department with spices, cosmetics, books (which I really liked, but the prices for books are too high), and a small first aid kit.The store is expensive in terms of price, but overall not bad. The only thing that spoiled the mood was the expired products. Pay attention not only to the date, but also to the condition of the product itself. For example, we came across cottage cheese that can be consumed until September 24, 2024, but it was moldy inside.”

“I have lived less than a mile away from this little gem of a market and didn't know it was here until this weekend when my daughter needed eggs RIGHT NOW for a recipe she was in the middle of.I searched Maps for the closest market near me, and voila!Great produce selection, pan dulce, and oh yes, the eggs I'd come in for. I'll be back - often!”

“I visited a few farmer's markets when I came to the U.S., and they were great places where I could buy as many fresh organic vegetables as I needed. In addition to vegetables, you can taste homemade bread and food from each country. The food quality is also very good. If you happen to find a Farmer's market while traveling, it might be a good idea to stop by.”

“Literally my happy place. I look forward to shopping here and literally is often the highlight of my day because TJ's has all my favorite things and the employees are the nicest humans. It's easy to park on the street behind the store if you don't want to deal with the parking lot.”

“Great store but this one cashier who I didn't catch the name of gave me the nastiest look when I was minding my own business buying my food. She had long blonde hair and brown freckles. She works at the San Mateo Trader Joe's!”

“If you're looking for freshest produce outside of a farmers market you go here. The people there are always nice and helpful, especially when you find yourself shuffling around during off peak hours. I see the same people and it's just a nice feeling. They aren't that big but they carry enough meats, cheeses, breads and eggs to keep a household ready for anything. I love this place.”

“I really love this Trader Joe's. I come here once a week to shop for the family and am able to pick up all the normal stuff plus great frozen food options. The staff at the store is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful whenever I ask where I can find something. Some of my favorite items to pick up here are eggs, Boursin cheese, triple cream brie cheese with mushrooms, frozen soup dumplings, and frozen chicken tikka masala samosas. This store is a gem and really saves a ton on the monthly grocery bill!”

“This location is located in the Stanford Town & Country shopping center. There are lots of parking spaces available, unless during peak hours or major shopping holidays. The customer service is good and polite, as you would expect from TJ's. Standard produce, well stocked shelves, and clean store.”

“They make great Tritip and Brisket sandwiches (which i make a point of stopping by while in the area). Their craft beer selection is awesome, a plethora great beer that is freshly canned. ? They also carry a great selection of wine and hard liquor which makes this place unique.”

“such a great local market and i can walk there from my house! the great thing about the local market is that they carry many local brands, which helps our small local businesses. i especially love the selection of baked goods, pies, breads, scones, all from local bakers. they do carry most of the recognized name brand produce, dairy, cereals, etc...so even if you don't want to buy local, you can still buy the nationally branded items. this market is family-owned, and you can feel that small town, local mom and pop when you're shopping and checking out. you feel welcome, unlike the larger chain supermarkets. although i walk here, there is definitely lots of parking on site and on the street.”

“I am glad that this Trader Joe's is here. Aside from the traffic that does not seem to let up at any hour of the day, this place has always had everything I needed. It really does remind me of being out in the island markets back home where everyone is looking for good, quality items. Their veggies and fruits are fresh, and the frozen ones are good too. I am a fan of the Trader Joe's frozen organic blueberries for smoothies. All the workers are at it, constantly stocking and fixing shelves-that way it doesn't look like someone just ravaged through and did not think of others on the way. I appreciate that each worker is always willing to help, and all of them are knowledgeable as to where you can find items if they cannot walk you there themselves. I love that they have the reusable bags hanging because it adds to the décor of the store, and you can see them better. I remember you had them at the registers and had to file through them to see ones you liked. Good move, Trader Joes. One of the best places to go in Menlo Park that has all you need for your home. Be sure to stop by!”

“This seems like the best grocery store in San Mateo. There's a nice deli, and lots of fresh produce. It's mostly on the expensive side so I don't buy very much.”

“Ok big dawg here's another one. So I got carnitas and lengua tacos. They were delicious and tasty. The lengua had the right seasoning and flavor as well as the carnitas. My only complaint would be give extra salsa to go and make sure the limes are not tough as rocks.. no juice came out of them. The service was great and fast, the workers are in sync and put out orders sufficiently. The music was not extremely loud and annoying. I would definitely return”
