“The bakery section here is seriously phenomenal. It feels like there’s always something fresh coming out of the oven, morning, midday, and even at night, so the whole place smells amazing. Everything I’ve tried has been consistently fresh, soft, and flavorful (not that “sat on a shelf all day” vibe). If you’re into warm pastries or fresh bread, this is one of those spots where you can grab something on a random stop-in and it still tastes like it was baked minutes ago.”

“Today I was in this store for the first time, we bought beef and a box of dates, the meat was very tasty, but unfortunately the whole box of dates for 25 dollars turned out to be spoiled, they smelled expired (I wanted to write them a Ramadan post, but I was very upset (please be careful with expiration dates and proper storage, what should I do now with a huge box of expired dates?
I also want to note that the staff there is wonderful, very friendly and attentive, they fulfilled all my requests, I don’t want you to make adjustments, I’m just very upset about the dates, forgive me for writing this (”
“Not the most organized grocery store in the area, but it definitely has a great selection and variety of products. As soon as you walk in, the smell of durian and fresh seafood hits you right away which you need to get used to. I highly recommend checking out the ice cream section and the bakery.”

“I’m a regular customer here and this is honestly one of the best halal chicken shops around. The chicken, mutton, and keema are always super fresh and clean. You can really see and taste the quality.
They also have all the spices and masalas you need, which makes it very convenient. If you don’t like waiting, just call ahead — he’ll prepare everything for you. You just go, pay, and pick it up. Simple and quick!

There are some problems: the first parking lot is always full, the second problem is that it is very narrow to walk between the rows. Once I wanted to pass by a beautiful woman of about 48 years old. The store also has an impressive selection of Middle Eastern, Asian, Mediterranean, Eastern European, and Latin American products. Walking through the aisles feels like visiting several specialty markets at once. I have discovered many new foods here that I would have never found elsewhere.
The bakery and prepared food sections are worth checking out as well. There is always something interesting, and the aroma alone makes it difficult to leave without trying a few extra items. The meat department is another strong point, offering a wide variety of options at competitive prices.
Yes, the store can get busy, especially on weekends, but that is usually a sign of how popular it is with the local community. Despite the crowds, I keep coming back because the value, variety, and quality make it worth the trip.

“Went 6/25/25 for the first time, specifically for their sweet bread and highly recommend! Got 4 pieces for $5.98 and the woman behind the counter threw in an extra for free. Ate two immediately in my car outside - so good! Such a better value than going to a white owned coffee shop where a baked good is $5-$8 and tastes average or is dry! The sweet bread is at the back and the market, is beautifully displayed, tastes fresh and has a really cute painting on the back wall.”

“Jon's is one our go-to supermarket if my wife or I need something quickly, many times that's after work (after 5 pm). It's a relatively clean market, can feel cramped at times especially at those hours on a weekday and parking while not the worst parking lot I've seen for a supermarket, at those busy hours you may circle around once or twice to find a spot.
I can't speak to their meat or seafood department but their deli meat selection is good especially if you're after more Russian meats you wouldn't find at your local Ralph's or Von's. Bakery also has some unique breads not found elsewhere.
Certain things, dairy items come to mind the most, for some reason cost more than the Gelson's just down the road, could never figure that out. Otherwise the prices are reasonable, not Vallarta but not Whole Foods either.”

Meaning you'll see a big sign for 1.99 but what you won't see is the fact you have to buy 4 or more of an item. That's in the very small print on the digital portion of the tag or sign.
