“Very good service. Doug the owner gave me options for replacing some damaged tires and other folks were very customer-centered. I had trouble with tire pressure sensors on my Prius after installation and they had me come in for a second visit to check it out. An under inflated tire (not one of the ones they installed) seemed to be the cause, but the tech also let me know the sensors were all getting old. I felt they were up front and very knowledgeable.”

“All I can say is WOW! My beloved car was in a nasty wreck and the team at Caliber on 11th went above and beyond at every chance they got. From my very first call, Lee was kind, patient and hilarious, making this very difficult time a much easier experience. He was communicative and went out of his way to get the process rolling ASAP, even though my insurance company had not contacted them yet.
Next, I was assigned to Eric, my service advisor, and I couldn't be more impressed with his professionalism, industry knowledge and thorough attention to both my vehicle's and my own needs. He took the time to walk me through all of the expected repairs, answer all of my questions (no matter how many times I called or emailed) and communicate my vehicle's progress. He was super communicative, letting me know when he would be OOO and made sure I had backup contact information. He went out of his way to get me a great price on some extra repairs while my car was in the shop. I even got to leave with a couple of products to help take care of my car-baby.
I'm almost sad to know that I won't be seeing the team again (I hope!) but if I ever need any body work, I will 100% come back and will continue to recommend Caliber on 11th to anyone who will listen. Eric and Lee made this the "best worst" experience of my life and I will be forever grateful!”
“I’ve been bringing my 2007 Toyota Highlander to this shop for a while now, and every time, the service is nothing short of exceptional. A few months ago, I took my car in for a potential transmission issue, and I was blown away by how thorough Brian and his team were. They ran every possible test, had multiple mechanics check it out, and made sure there was absolutely nothing wrong before getting back to me. Most shops, when they hear “transmission issue,” see dollar signs, but not here. They charged me only for diagnostics and even did my oil change upon request. I truly felt like they had my best interests in mind, and that’s rare to find.
Most recently, I noticed a lot of water leaking from my car before a long-distance trip to Southern California, and once again, Brian came through. Despite being busy and close to closing, he took my car in on short notice. As always, he was extremely knowledgeable and transparent, walking me through both the best and worst-case scenarios.
What really stood out to me was the level of dedication Brian showed. He stayed late on a Saturday evening to inspect my car and get me a quote—well ahead of the Monday timeline he originally gave me. When he called, he broke the unfortunate news that the issue was with the water pump and timing belt. Although the repair wasn’t in my budget this time around, Brian went above and beyond by offering to have someone come in on a Sunday (when they’re normally closed) to get the work done so I could make my trip.
Brian even left the car on the lift for me to see everything firsthand, and he patiently explained the issues while allowing me to take pictures for future reference. His willingness to help, honesty, and transparency have truly made him the most trustworthy mechanic I’ve found in the Bay Area.
Although I wasn’t able to get my car fixed this time, I will 1000% be coming back, and I would recommend this shop—and Brian specifically—to all my friends and family. It’s rare to find a mechanic who genuinely cares about their customers, and I know for certain that anyone who comes here will get an honest diagnosis and be treated fairly.

“Gomes Tires was recommended to me 10 years ago by someone who said that Gomes gave them good service at a great deal. Since then Gomes Tires has saved me countless amounts of money over the years. My mother often gets questionable recommendations from her local mechanics so I'll bring her car to Gomes and they let me know what really needs to be done or not and why. Most of the time, the original service recommendations were frivolous and Gomes saved us money. The same has been true with my car.”

“I was in immediate need of service to my car, and couldn't drive it back to San Francisco where I live as the car was overheating. I work up the street from the business and found them when I searched for nearby auto repair shops. Their reviews were great, so I called them and was told that I could drop my car off after getting out of work. They kept my car safe for the night and had it ready for me the next day. They easily diagnosed my problem and fixed it without delay. Needless to say, I was very grateful and relieved. Customer service here was friendly and I felt that my car was in good hands. “I am not in the habit of leaving reviews but have to shout out Mario and his team for being amazing mechanics - Mario is friendly, communicative, transparent about prices, waits for consent before moving forward with any repairs, explains clearly what the issue is in a way that is easy to understand but without being mansplainy or condescending, and also won’t pressure you to do any work that isn’t essential. Both times I have been he has kept the car part that was the issue to show me exactly what happened. After my previous long term mechanic shut down in 2020, I had a few bad experiences going to other places that took advantage of my trust/naivety and lack of knowledge about cars. A few friends recommended MJs (which funnily enough is in the same location as my old trusted mechanic!) and both the times I have been were great experiences. And just found out they do smog checks too! So glad to have found a new reliable trusted mechanic. Thanks to the whole crew at MJs!”

“This was my first time going to Dave's Auto Service and it's always nerve-racking going to a new auto repair shop. Prem immediately jumped on my issue without hesitation and troubleshot the info. He gave me a rundown of what the issue may be, but luckily, it was a super quick and easy fix. My car broke down outside their shop, and not only did they push it down the block, into their garage, and diagnose it (engine failure) they were SO kind and accommodating while I tried to get it sold and/or towed. “I come here because the location is convenient and the prices are reasonable. For my 210 Kia forte, a regular synthetic oil change cost $55. If I wanted full synthetic it would have cost me $80. They are fast with my oil change and they show me the clean oil on the dipstick at the end. They check the other fluid levels and refill my windshield washing fluid as well as vacuuming my air filter. I have been coming here for years and enjoy the service and experience. They also take card”

“as i was installing the last mount for a roof rack, the bolt sheared off. i went to uptown to explain the issue to see if they can help with this unusual job. first, they didn't laugh at me. lauren and the team examined the issue, came up with a proposal and estimate. a couple of days later, they had my car washed and ready to go. not only that, they polished my headlight lenses! the folks at uptown are genuinely friendly and service-oriented. i will not hesitate to recommend uptown!”
