“Very good service. Doug the owner gave me options for replacing some damaged tires and other folks were very customer-centered. I had trouble with tire pressure sensors on my Prius after installation and they had me come in for a second visit to check it out. An under inflated tire (not one of the ones they installed) seemed to be the cause, but the tech also let me know the sensors were all getting old. I felt they were up front and very knowledgeable.”

“This place deserves 10 stars. My q60 was stolen and wrecked. Insurance company tried quoting me for used or aftermarket parts to paint and repair. Took it to this place and the guy Adam went to bat behind me against the insurance company and got us all new oem parts. As well pulling some string and getting the oem parts fast. Plus threw in a bunch of extra touch ups for no additional charge. Can honestly say my car was returned looking and feeling better then before it was stolen. Never once asked for anything in return. “Had a small leak in my tire. Called them and drove over there, fixed it under 30 minutes and they also checked every tire, as well as the TPMS sensors. Was able to be serviced same day and only 40 Dollars for the flat repair. Needless to say would recommend this place. Way faster than Costco.”

“I want to share the honesty and professionalism I experienced at this place. My car is a 2016 Toyota Camry with about 120,000 miles on it. A few months ago, I started hearing a knocking sound coming from under the engine, and it gradually got louder. Someone I know, who knows a bit about cars, told me it was coming from the transmission. After hearing that, I avoided long-distance driving and only drove locally, planning to fix it when the time came.
Unfortunately, things got worse when I was laid off from work, and money became very tight. Each day, the sound seemed louder, and I worried the car might stop while driving. I was desperately thinking of the cheapest way to fix the transmission, and eventually decided to take it to a local transmission shop. Among the options, AMCO in Oakland had good reviews, and I was able to easily book an appointment online on the Monday Nov 24.
I explained the noise, and they told me it would cost $200 to diagnose the issue. I was mentally prepared to fix it if the estimate came out to under $2,000, and they also said the $200 would be applied to the repair cost if I chose to proceed. Since I couldn’t see the problem myself, the whole situation felt overwhelming and I had no choice but to trust the shop. If they had quoted a repair cost, I would have had to pay it or put it on a credit card, even if it meant going into debt.
About an hour and a half later, I went back to talk to them. When they told me that fixing the transmission would normally cost four to five thousand dollars, I thought, “This is it… the moment I was afraid of.” But then the manager smiled and said, “You are a lucky guy.” He explained that the knocking sound wasn’t coming from the transmission at all—it was simply the tire cover making noise. They removed all the loose covers from my car and recommended to replace all four covers.
I was relieved beyond words. I regretted trusting someone who only “knew a bit” about cars, but I was extremely grateful that I went for a second opinion. I thanked God for leading me to honest people and for allowing everything to work out safely. Looking back, I realized how easy it could have been for someone to scam me and make quick money. But these people were completely honest, handled everything professionally, and treated me with integrity.
I want to leave this review, even though it’s only a short one, to express my appreciation for their work. I hope I won’t have to go back for transmission issues, but if I ever do, this is the place I’ll return to—and I truly recommend them to others.”

“I come here because the location is convenient and the prices are reasonable. For my 210 Kia forte, a regular synthetic oil change cost $55. If I wanted full synthetic it would have cost me $80. They are fast with my oil change and they show me the clean oil on the dipstick at the end. They check the other fluid levels and refill my windshield washing fluid as well as vacuuming my air filter. I have been coming here for years and enjoy the service and experience. They also take card”

“If you're looking for an honest, dependable local mechanic, Jose is the one to trust. I recently went in for a brake job, expecting to replace both front and rear brakes. After checking everything thoroughly, Jose told me the front brakes still had about 50% life left and didn’t need service yet. He simply recommended checking them again in about four months—no upselling, no pressure, just honesty.
He also closes his shop for lunch, which is rare in this industry, but it shows how much he values his team and runs his business with integrity. It’s clear he truly cares about his customers and their vehicles. Highly recommend him for any general mechanic work or even just a second opinion. Jose is the kind of mechanic every community needs.”
