Loved the vibe. Intimate setting, good music. Wasn’t a huge fan of my cocktail but I would still go back just because I loved the atmosphere so much. Great place to have an actual conversation. It’s the kind of place I wouldn’t mind going to on my own too.

Dimly lit hi-fi listening bar in Uptown Oakland set in a sleek, modern space. It’s the first hi-fi listening bar in The Bay Area. Bar Shiru features mostly jazz, soul and international groove records played in their entirety on a fully analog audiophile sound system. Expect an elevated cocktail menu, lengthy whisk(e)y-focused spirits and local craft beer, sake, wine and non-alcoholic options.
