I had the honor of competing and winning the “Double or Nothing” popping battle there in 2025, and the energy that night was unreal. The crowd was hyped, the dancers came with heavy styles, and the judges held everyone to a high standard exactly the kind of environment that makes you push past your limits. Bloc15 gave the event a professional yet underground feel, with smooth transitions between showcases, battles, and staged cyphers.
Beyond the dance floor, the venue’s staff were welcoming and on point, making sure everything ran smoothly. Whether it’s a dance event, concert, or private function, Bloc15 delivers the perfect mix of culture, class, and creativity. Oakland’s dance scene felt alive in that space and I’ll never forget the night I took home my first Oakland win?”

“Scene was the perfect spot for my daughter’s Sweet 16! There was plenty of parking, and the space was super roomy with tables and chairs already provided. The little kitchen and three bathrooms were great too! Working with Toby was super easy. He was so responsive and accommodating. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. I’d definitely book this place again! Highly recommend!”

“Came Here Looking For "Padrón Gril" A Vegan Spot I Saw On TikTok. Turns Out It Was A Vendor Working With Korner Kitchen At The Time. However, Korner Kitchen Is Legit! Menu Is Small But The Options Seem Delicious! To Order Food You Walk Up To The Bar Straight In The Middle Of The Patio & You Get A Chance To Look At Their Menu Or Whatever Vendor They Are Working With At The Moment. I Spoke With Who Im Thinking Is The Owner. Didn't Get His Name But Guy Was Very Friendly, Professional & If You Need Any Food Recommendations From The Menus He Got You! He Recommended I Get Their "Noodle Belly $20. Not Too Expensive As Long As The Flavors There. Comes With Garlic Noodles Your Choice Of Protein & A Vegetable. I Ordered The Broccolini With Shrimp! Belive Me Flavors Were Definitely There! The Patio Has Three Large Screen TVs So You Can Eat And Wacth Whatever Is Happening At The Time. Today They Had The UFC Fight And Summer Slam! Nice. Would I Come Here Again. Sure, But With Friends! The Vibes Are Nice Here & Service Is On Point!”

“Edit: Opportunities for sliding scale and time trade are now being offered for events! Ask your event coordinator to be sure as it's still dependent on each event to adopt this offering.----------Decent venue structurally: sound is good and floors are nice. Yet for a community space in OAKLAND the prices aren't very reflective of the capitalized oppression of those less privileged in the surrounding neighborhood. I have asked multiple times about sliding scales, or pricing options for those less monetarily advantaged. There has been no response or apparent consideration of these marginalized people who need community and a space much more than anyone who currently "supports" the space with fiat currency. ?I hope this may spark a review of the monetary practices employed and culminate in more choices to allow everyone the opportunity to participate.”

Great I want to give a resounding shout-out to Ariel and Patrick, the proprietors of this amazing establishment. I have been to events at ShotClock 3 times and am always impressed by this space and by them. I am hosting an event there soon and they made it so easy to book the space. They are warm and welcoming and are extremely community oriented! They are all about SERVICE! I feel so blessed to have this space available for weddings, parties, baby showers, funeral repasts, community events, etc. YouTube will not be disappointed if you use

“This venue was perfect for what we wanted! We wanted a small wedding of 50 guests and I was looking for a place with some scenery and not just a boring hall that needed a lot to look beautiful. We were on a small budget so we also needed something at a reasonable price. This place hit all that and more. All of our guests loved the venue and it helped that it was a beautiful sunny day. The garden area made for a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and great for photos. The lake was beautiful with all the ducks swimming around. I loved everything about this venue and definitely recommend it if you are having a small wedding.”
“I had my wedding here at Fairview Metropolitan and it was the MOST AMAZING DAY EVER! For starters Angela Muse helped us from start to finish on planning our day and every little detail in between! She was amazing to work with, she was clear, communicative, friendly and organized which is everything you want when you are planning your wedding! When I arrived at my reception I was blown away by the decor and how beautiful every detail was! Thank you so much Angela for all of your hard work and support in making my dream reception!!!
The vendors that are connected to Fairview that I opted into having was DJ Keel and Ting at Montclair Florist. DJ Keel was a phenomenal MC and met with us ahead of time to get an idea of how we wanted our wedding MC'd as well as what we wanted our music to be like and let me tell you he achieved it!!! My guests were laughing, entertained and raving about the music all night! Thank you Dj Keel!
I coordinated with Ting from Montclair Florist and although we did not talk much I have to say my bouquet and center pieces were the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen! The flowers were stunning and she ran with the ideas I had and made it the most beautiful arrangement ever!!
My guests were raving about the food and we were so supported by KeeKee our Banquet Manager! She checked in on us and made sure we were good throughout our reception!

I followed the sound of the live DJ and was pleased to find it was coming from a place I get food from a bit regularly.Chef Alreca's food is delicious! “Oakland Nature Friends is a nature-loving hiking club and an excellent place for yearly German dances and German festivals. I attended the Biergartenfest 2018 and it is such a beautiful location. I enjoyed the entertainment. The costumed NF Schuhplatter dancers were fun. The German beer and food was delicious. I can't wait for Octoberfest.”

“We rented the space for our daughters 1st birthday and it was perfect. We had 50 friends and children and could have easily held twice as much comfortably. The turf patio was great for kiddos to crawl and the space is full of games for adults and kids (cornhole, 4square, giant connect 4 and jengo). We used the gymnasium for games and the bleachers for some great group pictures. Would recommend for kids bday parties and even adult parties if you're looking for a fun space to invite a large group.”

“We used Metal & Match for a big non-profit Gala, based on a recommendation as they catered for us in the past. Chris and his team are fantastic to work with - they are communicative, responsive, and understood what our goals were for the event. They were our caterer, bar, and furniture rental, and they were very easy to work with throughout the planning process and the night of the event (including set-up and clean-up). Chris is extremely friendly and a generous partner to work with. We had one slight hiccup out of Chris's control but I would recommend him and his team to anyone as we had a fantastic experience. And everyone loved the food!!”

“Yes I was up there at the Oakland ZOO for the healthy living events for the seniors citizen of E E Cleveland seniors apartment complex it was a good event with different types of senior services for us on health care matter and it seem like the snow building as u say look like it can hold 50 or more but you will have to contact the Oakland ZOO information desk by Google the address and location of who to contact and they can give you the right information you need to no about that building”
“I’ve given several events at this location always five stars. Communication was always good. The pricing was good. The kitchen was a good size and all the accommodations. The inside outside the backyard area was really nice. Were able to bring a few cars back and parking isn’t the best but it is enough parking if you utilize it correctly, but I would definitely recommend.”
