Book Tree is a wonderful, unique local bookstore with an untraditional set-up where stacks abound, making it feel like a treasure trove. It is a very nice, personal little shop with a sizable and quality inventory, perfect for discovering new releases and older gems. The friendly and knowledgeable staff offer great service, seamlessly helping to order books and suggesting hard-to-discover titles. The experience of walking into this unique bookstore and having a good chat is something ordering online cannot live up to. It is a great place for a casual stroll, and visitors plan to return.

A very nice, personal little shop with a sizable & quality inventory. I visited it a couple times while visiting Oakland. I’ll be back within a few months & plan to return, probably after breakfast at the Egg Shop!
